I have used both Life Extension (for DHEA) and Grassroots Health (for Vitamin D) here in California with never a hitch.

The one place that is a real problem is New York State, which prohibits private individuals from sending blood samples--even the tiny spot of blood for a Vitamin D test--through the mail.

I don't mean to sound like A True Believer, but the Grassroots people are doing great work.

Medicare is government run health care. So is TriCare. So is the VA system. FEHB, the government administered health insurance that I and my congresspeople get, is a public-private partnership. All work pretty well and have few horror stories like you have from your "for-profit" HMO. One wonders why the facts fly in the face of the fears.

No response necessary. I don't waste time with folks who refuse to believe that the federal government can actually run a two-car parade.
