Here we go! :D
Weekly goal: 9-15 miles walked, 51 minutes or less per three mile walk
Sunday: 3 miles in 52 minutes... which, considering I could hardly straighten up this morning with neck pain, I'm happy with it! :)
Monday: 1 mile... had to leave the cemetary as three funerals were about to happen...
Wednesday: 2 miles in 40 minutes... very dizzy, so cut it short!

Sunday (which I guess I put in wrong post): 6 km in the heat with the dogs - 48 minutes. Note to self: wear sunscreen or some protection, although I didn't sizzle, but was sort of pinkish in the evening. Or, did I read somewhere that small doses is OK, because it builds up the melanin/resistance?
Monday: 5.5 km in the heat with the dogs - 38 minutes. Different (slightly) route than yesterday. Still hot (maybe even warmer than yesterday). Around lunch, walked 1.5 to 2.0 km while my family was at the hair dresser's getting their hair cut, as I had to go to Motor Vehicles and get my son's road test paid for (and I knew it would be a wait, so I thought I would get a head start on the wait time). Walked briskly, but didn't have a watch on, so don't know how long it took.
Tuesday: planning a short  (walk) day because my hubby has a ball game in the evening.
Wednesday: not sure what we'll get away with doing
Thursday: not sure what we'll get away with doing
Friday: planned: approx 4 km run up Signal Hill in the morning before breakfast.:o
Saturday: planning a visit to the chiropractor if I need it from yesterday's adventure. Obviously, weather makes a difference in what we do with the dogs on the weekends.

Week three! Walk 20 minutes 3 times and gallileo machine twice.
Sunday: 10 minute quickie before we headed for home
Monday:
Tuesday:
Wednesday: Gallileo session
Thursday: no walking yet. I'm having a very busy week! Help!
Friday: Airdyne (surprise!) 20 minutes
Saturday: Sorry to report that the only walking I did today was at the mall. That was considerable, but I can't count it. Not aerobic. My feet hurt, though!

in PPLP, the Eades promote sunbathing to "pinkness" to make sure you are making enough Vit D - and you'll also get sensitized/tan to become less pink in the future. Never to burning though - just "pink" (or equiv amount of time if your skin color won't show pink) -

So does the challenge mean that those of us who aren't participating aren't posting our daily totals anymore? I'm trying to get back in the posting swing and I don't want to disrupt any patterns.

Honey, you're not gonna disrupt nothin'! (Watch all those English language people go nuts over that sentence, LOL!)
Miralin, this thread is for... ANYONE! At ANYTIME! Just post what you WANT to happen in the week, and as you "git 'er done!", post what you did! I know it's been confusing with the double posting, but MAYBE if we try it THIS way, it will work! :D OR... if you want to start a DAILY post, that's great too!
Whatever works... AND, as long as you're MOVIN'! :p
Good to see you, by the way! ;)

That's just what I was going to say on your behalf, Sherry, but you not only beat me to it, you expressed it much more eloquently ;).

Well, THERE'S a first! :D I don't usually find the words "Sherry" and "eloquent" in the same sentence...
Thanks, Mitra... :)
Carol, do you have any challenges if we make this a WEEKLY exercise thread, whether one's walking or what... ? I'm keeping track of when six weeks run, so that will be taken care of...

Just keep in mind Sherry that it took me quite some time to get to this point. But walking has always been my thing. As much as I love stair steppers and free weights, I don't have to be in a workout mood to go for a walk. And once I get outside and start walking I usually START WALKING. My childhood also helped. I walked a lot as a little girl with my mother and uncle (both of which were really REALLY fast walkers). If I didn't keep up with them I got dragged  . So my little legs had to start really REALLY moving--I didn't like getting dragged by my little arms  .
What some would call abuse set me up as a great walker!! LOL!!!
Hugs,
Willow

Oh I'm movin, as much as I can. Last week, all but one day of the week I got at least 20 minutes in up the hill, and usually another 10 at lunch or during a work break. (Gotta get some sun and stretch!)
Ended up walking a good two miles on Thursday, at least. I have to map it out, but it was a day of running errands and buses not stopping to pick me up. So, since I had an appointment to make, I hoofed it. :D
Saturday I went to the grocery store and back, twice, because I left my one card that I needed to pay for the stuff at home. So that's 40 minutes total!
Sunday I didn't walk but did a good amount of heavy lifting around the house, including a boatload of laundry.
Today I eased up on the walking some, because my ankle's a little sore, but still got about 15 minutes of slow easy walking in.

Well, I did some unusual working out on Thu, Fri, & Sat & Sun. I hosted a huge estate sale and spent about 7 hours each day out in the heat moving heavy boxes & running around outside helping & fetching things for customers.
I thought there'd be alot of boring standing around but NUH-UH! I was permanently sweat-soaked & my legs & feet ached alot.
I rested yesterday and back to cardio tonight. Hope it'll be a long time before I do that again! ;)

Last night 6/21 was stretching & push-ups & sit ups. I reviewed the workout part of the Budokon DVD I got and I. LOVE. IT. !!!:D
I've get to post a full review but that's coming soon! ;)

Neither have I, Sherry!!!
It's a combo of Tae Kwon Do & Yoga I guess. Actually, if it weren't for the Yoga part, it'd be just like TKD, which is good 'cause that's what I used to do. :)
Well, last night I did 25 mn of heavy cardio. I was sick for awhile so it feels great to be back to speed! :D

Hi Sherry, did you mean will I still post here? You bet! I also don't have a problem going back to the M&S thread. I'm just having a difficult week and I need to reset my priorities (meaning take the right shoes along wherever I go!).

Nope--firmly attached! I did discover that we in the office who are working during the summer are allowed to take advantage of some new exercise equipment one of our programs has bought. We have Airdynes! And I don't need my sneakers to ride them! I snuck in there today.

Sherry.........I am so envious of you with your walking. I have to start some sort of excercise.I have a great area for walking, but my feet are just so bad............they hurt all the time, and yet I know that if I got the weight down, they would improve. I suspect that I have some arthritis in my feet. I have taken anti inflammatories in the past, until just recenty, but have tried to go without them. I read in the pp book, that anti-inflammatories have some bad side effects as well..............
So, here I am, coverting you and your walks. I am going to try tomorrow............but it will certainly cost me !! lol
