I have read this twice and gone to the links. What is so interesting about the study to me is that it is NOTHING that we don't know but it seems that the public might be getting a grip. I especially like the link to the Reuters study, and I have sent it to my Lipitor Loving and low fat loving friends.

I spent yesterday reading The Cholesterol Conspiracy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0875274765/totalfitnessp-20?creative=329585&camp=14573&adid=1M1KEQFC8F5YVJDXRXPR&link_code=as1) by Russel Smith, and, as I'm still waiting for the Colpo contribution (The Great Cholesterol Con (http://www.theomnivore.com/The_Great_Cholesterol_Con.html)), in between my omega-3 reading, I'm amusing myself with The Cholesterol Myths (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0967089700/qid=1150303362/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-0506481-8946415?s=books&v=glance&n=283155), by Uffe Ravnskov (which I've had for a couple of years, but haven't looked at for a while). The last one is summarised on his web-site (http://www.ravnskov.nu/cholesterol.htm), but the book is better.

Dr Mike said in his blog (http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/archives/2006/06/update_on_comme.html#comments) that he intends to read, and possibly review, Colpo's book - that should be interesting.

Maybe then we can save ourselves some bother and stop worrying about all those little numbers :).
