All the significant battles are waged within the self. Sheldon Kopp

I battle with myself daily. When I quit smoking 23 years ago, I made up my mind that I would quit and I did. I never looked back.
With this eating thing, I wonder if that way of thinking would finially win the battle in my head.
I would just decide I will eat x amount of carbs each day and then once the decision is made, I don't have to keep deciding everytime I go shopping or go out to dinner or a party.
What do you all think?

All the significant battles are waged within the self. How true that is Lynn!

And yes I do agree. And really that is the design of the program, 30 or 40 ECCs, it is us that keep fiddlin' with the idea we can do different things.

Mind set is incredible Lynn you go it there!

Lynn, I did that with cigarettes, too. This seems to be more complicated. Everyone works it differently and whenever I hear somebody say something that seems to give me permission to experiment with food, I often take it and run with it until I hit the brick wall. Then I pick myself up, dust off and take up where I left off. I agree with your quote. I am my own worst enemy at times!

Lynn - Great thought for the day! I personally agree with picking a number and sticking with it. Once the decision is made, it seems like an exercise in futility to keep making the decision all over again ;).
