Hi ladies, just throwing this out there - hasn't been too much discussion of it in the recent months that I'm aware of - has anyone seen resolution of any "Monthly cycle issues" via PP, low-carb, or Paleo diets?
I'm no longer on the Pill (TMI, I know!) and have discovered I need to be much more watchful of any sugary slip-ups to keep myself comfortable during my period. I believe that the hormonal control afforded by this type of diet directly impacts the menstrual cycle, but would like to hear anyone's experience that's willing to share.

Hi,
This is the reason that I have actually joined the forum.
I don't know all the abbreviations so I'll apologise now for typing everything out!
I'm 30, weight 13 stone exactly and I've hit a lull. Just for the purpose of topic, my birth control is a coil.
At the beginning of January my husband and I were lucky enough to be picked by the owner of the gym that we go to, to do 8 weeks worth of personal training with him. He put us on a high protein diet and he trained us 3 times a week. We done cardio one day, weights another day, circuit training another day and spin-fit another day every week for 8 weeks.
My question is this. He does a high protein diet combined with the exercise affect your periods? I've lost 19lb in the 8 weeks but nearly 2 weeks later I've not lost as much as an ounce. The only thing that I can think of that would affect this is that I have today started my period. I'm just grateful that I havent gained any weight right enough.
I've considered the herbal water retention tablets but thought I'd be best to ask those in the know.
Any advise or information is greatly appreciated.
Luv
