Hello,

I purchased Protein Power Plan in the early to mid 1990's after listening regularly to Drs. Eads on talk radio program they had in the Denver/Boulder CO area.

Well, I did not start back then and now am even heavier and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago. I think it is time to do something good to myself.

I now embark on a journey on which I will lose around 90-100 pounds. I am 5-10 265lbs presently.

I have scanned this board for the past couple of months and decided it was time to join in.

Good luck in your quest. I started PP back in 1999, lost 60 pounds (from 225 to 165, and I'm 5'8'') in one year, and have kept it off. It's an easy plan to follow once you break the carb addiction. And don't let the "anti-fat" community influence you in any way, especially your primary care physician.

Seriously, welcome. And I think you'll be astonished at how rapidly everything improves. I was transformed almost beyond recognition in six months. The rest of the improvements come a little slower, I admit, but for many people the first few months will be one of the most exciting times you've ever had.
