Gave blood (plasma) and am not supposed to do anything too streneous (they said not to get the heart rate going too high, or I might start bleeding).
Was planning to do cardio before my physio appointment. Not entirely sure what I'm going to do, though. I really don't think it will be a major problem, but I'll be careful to monitor the "hole" in my arm, just the same. Will report on what I exactly do, later.

I must have been hoofing it for both of us, cm! :)
I did my best three miles yet, since the beginning of this challenge... 52 minutes!!! :D (Only need to knock 7 more minutes off to get to goal by summer's end...)

Walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes before physio (3.8 mph). Ran about one minute or so in the middle, because my calf was still giving me grief.
My physiotherapist and I had one of those "eureka" moments yesterday, quite by accident.
We discovered that I've been running wrong all along, and, instead of going heel-to-toe, I've been going toe-to-heel (and barely touching down with the heel). Hence, the calf problems (should I say DUH!!). However, somewhere back in the realms of my training, I must have been taught to do it that way. No wonder I've had troubles through the years (and especially in the last two, since I started running/training for the military, and continuing not only while I was in, but even since I've released.
So, he gets me back on the treadmill and watches me running (laughing all the while, not necessarily at me, but we were both so astounded that we've been treating one thing, but missing the "big picture", so to speak).
OK, so now I have to re-learn how to run, and he says I'm in for a world of hurt, using muscles differently than I've become accustomed to for all these many months (years?)

then again - check out all the proponents of natural running, POSE running, etc - and they will tell you that forcing heel-toe is all wrong and not natural = and that toe-midfoot is more correct, more natural, uses the natural springs of the lower leg - the more like running barefoot up on toes, the better.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!
How am I ever going to figure out what is right?
Do you have any links/photos that can point me in the right direction?
