That actually sounds quite nice.
A bit like home made not quite chocolate moose.
Gonna have to try this one.

If you added an egg, it would be similar to chocolate mousse I think. Hubby and I make a low carb chocolate mousse with very dark chocolate, eggs and whipped double (heavy) cream. No sugar and it's very rich, but I prefer it to adding sweetener... Desperation Dessert is very very rich - but in times of dire need it does the trick:-)
Hi Eleanor,
I have been reading your posts for the last three weeks and i must say you have me laugh! (in a good way) it has brightened my day! you are doing great also if you dont me saying!
I am craving SWEET, anything would do at the moment but im on the 6WC (4thweek), i am going to prepare myself now because i dont want to be running into the kitchen and find anything that resembles 'SUGAR'! get my drift?
Thanks:-)
Hi
Again haha i forgot to ask-- can i have the measurements for the mousse please?
Ta!

There's a mousse, courtesy of my father-in-law, and a chocolate pot dessert, courtesy of my husband (quick plug/acknowledgement, if it's allowed? His name is Graham Miller, he wrote a book called the Busy Pagan and the recipe is from there).
Chocolate Mousse:
Per person:
1 egg
2oz chocolate - as dark as you like, but bear in mind there's no sugar at all in this recipe, so the darker the chocolate, the more bitter the taste (which hubby and I love)
1/2 tablespoon brandy
Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Stir it until it's really cool but not quite solidifying again.
Separate the eggs.
Stir the egg yolk and brandy into the chocolate. If it curdles, the chocolate was too hot and cooked the yolk, but it doesn't matter that much, just try to stir most of the lumps out.
Whip the egg white until really stiff, and then fold into the chocolate mixture.
Refrigerate.
Eat.
Chocolate Pot Dessert
Same as above, but add 1/4pt heavy cream per person, whip the heavy cream until stiff, stir the chocolate mixture into the heavy cream first, and then fold in the egg white. Refrigerate. Eat.
Both of them are as low carb as you want, full of protein, and good fats, really indulgent, and come to think of it, why haven't I made them recently??????
DELICIOUS! just had the clotted cream, cocoa powder and splenda.
Thanks for the recipe :)
