How different our lives are when we really know what is deeply important to us, and keeping that picture in mind, we manage ourselves each day to be and to do what really matters most.
Stephen R. Covey
Do you get distracted? Planning and posting helps us stay centered in what’s important.
Breakfast will be a strawberry shake. Lunch will be the sausage I didn’t eat yesterday. Dinner will be chicken and broccoli.
Keep your body hydrated! :)

Good thought Carol---gotta keep the focus. I am trying my best to do that with my work out sessions too, and man it is hard. I finally have come to the same way of thinking about exercise as I have about my eating habits. I am doing it for my health (bp and bone density issues) and that makes me more apt to stay with it than simply as a tool to keep weight down. (Tho that is nice too---when it happens !)
Off to tell Shadow about my plans for line dancing tonight. See ya later.

Hi, ya'll,
Great quote, Carol. I have certainly been distracted this week. Despite the posting and good intentions. Might have to check in at the end of the day and edit for accountability.
Karole, I, so agree with becoming as serious about exercise as the diet. Good point, exercise for health instead of just for weight loss.
Fell off the plan last night, but back on today. I just need to focus.
B-poached eggs, lite cinammon toast w/ butter, hood lc choc milk
L-leftover cheese enchalada, (not low carb) few beans, raw veggies, sf jello
S-emerald almonds
D-smoked sausage, salad, green veggie we didn't have last night.
Will update tonight for accountablitity.
MY WEIGHT STAYED OFF!! I'm kinda shocked!
Of course right after my little celebration I realized that tomorrow is our annual company party. We bought out La Belle Vie (http://www.labellevie.us/) Restaurant. It's a set menu and for once I was not part of setting it!
I know that I will have more carbs than normal, but will still avoid certain foods, like chocolate. We start with appetizers and wine (LOTS of wine) and then on to a six course meal. They are all very small portions, so I'm just going to let go of the carbs and enjoy. BUT, only for tomorrow night.
Tonight, I volunteer at the cat shelter.
Meals are planned.

Carol good quote! I try to stay focused as much as possible. But as life goes we all face some sort of distraction from time to time. The important thing is to not let them interfere with our efforts for a healthier future.

I've made the decision to take tomorrow off work because I'm having a group of musicians over in the evening. It will keep me from going crazy today.
As DW and I are getting close to our trip south, I have decided I'll post at least once a wk in between basking in the sun (hopefully) for the next 6 weeks. I'm afraid if I don't, I'll get caught up in the vacation mode and get back to old habits. The struggles to get back on plan many of you relate when you stray a bit from PP has convinced me, once again, to keep my focus. This forum sure helps with inspiration and staying on the program.

Have fun on your vacation Monty. You are absolutely right to stay in touch. The first time I tried this wol I lost 42 pounds went on a cruise, lost my way, allowed myself up almost 50 pounds and had to lose it again ! How crazy. This place has saved my bacon and I know it. No more vacations less I can take my 'puter and stay connected.

Now that sounds like a great relaxing evening. My playing is a way to release tension for me.

That's what keeps me from going off on a tangent.

Now that sounds like a great relaxing evening. My playing is a way to release tension for me.Absolutely, Bill. It's quite nice to go to someone else's house to play. Different when it yours and you have to tidy up, make sure there's food, keep an eye on the coffee pot, etc. We're going to have a ton of snow by tomorrow night with high winds and we may have skimpy attendance. Still and all, I'll get in a few hours of tension release and the Geezer will play host. Bless his heart.
