Education consists mainly of what we have unlearned.

Mark Twain

I’ve unlearned a lot about “healthy” eating and I believe there’s even more to come.

Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be sausage patties. Dinner will be the chicken I didn’t fix last night. (I had eggs)

Anybody feeling wacky?

I'm late posting today because I went back to bed. :) All the schools are closed and even the non-instructional staff didn't have to report. On days like this, my sister, who is an office manager in a research facility, sometimes asks me when I'm going to grow up and get a real job. I always answer, "Why should I?" I think I'll email her. I LIKE working at a school!

Big scale drop overnight!! 3lbs!! I'll take it.

I just hope it stays gone!

Food for today

I have the final part of the SAS 70 audit today, and our accounting audit is wrapping up on Monday.
It will be nice to be back to my "regular" job instead of gopher for auditors.

I don't have anything scheduled tonight. I think i'll walk at the mall (legs finally don't hurt) then go home and...hm...not sure. I have to make breakfast for thurs and fri, so maybe I'll watch a movie while I do that.
Yah, that sounds good...watch a movie. I have Motorcycle Diaries and the Other Boleyn Girl at home.

I am feeling the wacky vibe...be right back!!!

Good ones Ammy !! I especially like the one about the couch. I often think mine has some kind of holders to keep me in it too. Wonder what brand we have??

I am looking out at the sun right now and I like it ! Hope it will stay out for a good part of the day and warm up a bit. Even if it isn't warmer, it always seems so while the sun is out there doing its thing.

No plans for the day-- I have finished the quilt I was making for my son and his family so don't have any big projects to work on. I may do some crocheting or something as all my books are read too. I should have gone to the library before all this weather hit us.

Good morning all. I'm going to brave the roads and try to go to work. My neighborhood roads are still all icy, but I'm hoping the main roads will be a little more clear. I'm taking extra clothes and shoes just in case.

Breakfast was sausage and eggs, and coffee w/creamer. Lunch will be meatloaf and dinner I'm not sure of yet.

Wish me luck!!!

Love the quote and the cartoons - you all are definitely wacky!

Everyone stay safe and warm today. Snow has stopped here, but it is bitter cold and the wind is vicious. Brrrrr.....

Hi,all--

We're in a blizzard here. Interstates are closed and on top of last weekend's massive snow, our 18" is getting ridiculous. I can't shovel because of my knee; it's a nice excuse, but I feel bad for my husband. We're running out of territory.

Breakfast today was pb toast; lunch was a chicken salad wrap. I plan go make some Dreamfield's spaghetti and black soybean chili later, but I've been lazy today so far.

Great cartoons, Amy! Congrats on the weight loss.

I won't mention the weather here!

Funny stuff today; I can relate to the couch one because my bed was holding on to me this morning and I finally wrestled myself loose about ten minutes late.

Congrats on the anniversary! We like them because someone told us once that they are the only holiday you earn. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter ... they all come no matter what. But an anniversary only comes if you have done the work to stay together. Its coming up on 35 years for us this September, so we're comparative newlyweds! (I'll bet if we all shared our wedding photos there would be a lot of men in pastel tuxes with ruffled shirts sporting long hair).

Breakfast was the usual, with lunch being a chicken breast, water and 1/2 ounce of nuts. Looking forward to a salad before dinner tonight; my veggies over the last few days have all been of the cooked variety, and I need a change!

Great cartoons today! I love them all.

Amy take that loss and run with it!

Happy anniversary, Claudette!

We apparently had our blizzard last night, because it's a nice day. Haven't been outside yet. I lost internet connection after I posted the quote for today and just got it back with a call to AT&T. No idea what happened, but the tech re-connected me. First time that ever happened, and it was a revelation to observe how my life revolves around the internet. I worked on a spreadsheet for my taxes, but it wasn't the same.

Be back later...

Hey y'all, this is just a note to tell you not to panic if I'm not here in the morning. I just had to re-boot my modem to get connected again. :p If it gives me trouble in the morning, I won't have time to fuss with it. Darned old thing. I think I might need a new one.

I can start the thread from my work computer, but go ahead if you want to. :)

Today, I didn't follow my meal plan as written. I had scrambled eggs with cheese in a wrap for brunch and a mushroom burger for supper. Probably some greek yogurt and blueberries for a snack later on tonight.

Amy, congrats on the loss!! :D

The couch cartoon was especially true of me lately... I've been living on mine since the 1st! (I can't sleep in bed yet as I need to be propped up a bit at both ends, the couch is just easier :o)

I'm off to the doc tomorrow for a post op check, another 5 hours in the car.... Fortunately we don't have the bad weather a lot of you are having, just more rain.

I haven't put anything in fitday since last month :jawDrop:. I'll try to get back at it this weekend.

I won't mention the weather here!

Thanks for not rubbing it in! The snowfall is almost done, but we still have blizzard winds. The brilliant new mayor of Harrisburg did not declare a snow emergency yesterday, in spite of the fact that every other city, borough, and township in the area did, but today (after the roads became completely impassable) declared an emergency and threatened to ticket anyone who didn't move their car. Guess she doesn't want to be re-elected!

Hi, ya'll,
Thanks for the anniversary wishes.

I did it, stayed on plan, kept it at 30 today. :)

Here was my menu for today:
B-crustless quiche, hood choc milk, tea
L-taco salad (beef) on lettuce, shredded cheese, jalepenos, few onions, lots of salsa, quacomole, tea
D-DH's favorite seafood place. I had pecan crusted trout, mixed lc grilled veggies, green salad w/ homemade blue cheese dressing, shrimp in an appetizier of hot salsa like sauce, five small crumbs of tortilla chips, one single tiny bite of DH's brandied bread pudding.

Great day, now watching Psyche on TV, will have hood lc choc milk heated w/ a squirt of whipping cream.
