Good morning! :) What's your "main thing"?
Going for a blood test today with breakfast out afterwards. The Geezer and I have planned an outing to a book store, which we both enjoy, and dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We agreed to renew for another year. ;) This makes twenty-eight in a row.

Good morning. The scale was down another pound, so I guess yesterday's whoosh was real. My "main thing" today is making sure I have what I need to be successful on program if the doctor lets me go back to school this week.
I had a protein shake this morning. Not sure about lunch. Supper will be cheeseburger macaroni.
Squirrel, welcome! Feel free to jump in and tell us about yourself. The board is full of people who can encourage and answer questions about Protein Power.

Hi Squirrel, jump right in with both feet !!
Carol, Happy Anniversary to you and the Geezer and I hope you have a great meal at the Mexican restaurant today. We ate out last night and I had a delicious grilled chicken with onion, green pepper, tomato (grilled too) then covered by a cheese sauce. I asked them to sub a salad for the beans and rice. I figure there were a few carbs in the cheese sauce but doubt that it was over my limit for the amount I had and it sure was good.
Hi Squirrel,
Just spent part of the morning being entertained by 3 squirrels trying to figure out a new bird feeder. :)They did not defeat it but were keeping the birds away so I had to move it over a baffle.
Carol, I guess the Geezer is ok in your book to stay with him for 28 "continuous" years. Congrats.
Bought a slo cooker and a recipe book.... made a ginger pork and sauerkraut roast yesterday, cooked on lo for 8 hours. Tender and juicy. Of course, DW gave me hell for not getting a pork tenderloin so I was glad the meal turned out well. :p This is gonna help out a lot in planning dinners.
Karole, mexican food, other than my chili, is not compatible with my plumbing..... love the taste, hate the consequences.

Good morning to everone!
Carol, congratulations on 28 years - that is quite an achievement!! My main thing is focusing on the details of the program since I can see how successful it is by the progress that everyone on this board is making. I continue to be inspired everyday.
Squirrel, welcome to the board. I have only been on a couple of weeks and have found it to be a huge help.
Ruth, hurray for you!! You are doing great! Please share your recipe for the low carb pizza you mentioned if you don't mind. I haven't come across a recipe for that yet and it sounds like it is really good.
B-Coffee w/cream & Protein shake
L-probably left over Chicken Pecan Salad
D-I've got chicken taco meat in the crockpot so I'll do something with that.
S-hmmm, not sure yet. I'll see what I feel like when the time comes!
Happy weekend to all!!

Congratulations! The only thing that lasts that long is good marriages and bad habits!
Morning all! So nice to see so many posts this morning!
I'm at work...again. Trying to get this audit stuff done. It's getting old...but we're close.
weight was up 1/2 lb today. No worries, I had salty hot dogs before bed. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Back to work...

Carol, my congrats also! :)
I didn't make it by here yesterday, I was just too dang tuckered out. I worked my regular job then spent a couple of hours helping DH put the subfloor on the house he is just starting to frame. I was ready for bed by 7. :o That didn't happen of course.... but I did get into the tub by 8 and bed by 9. :)
I got into the pecans last night...... I think I stopped myself before it got completely out of hand.
Today I will be helping with more sub floor, getting the car fixed (finally the end of that), going to the gym (though I'm not sure if that's necessary after carrying around 4x8 sheets of OSB ) and I need to get started on the things I need done before being laid up for next month. I want to get some stuff in the freezer and sort the house out a bit more.
Unfortunately my 'main thing' for the next several weeks will be dealing with surgery.
Yesterday: protein 127g, ecc 22g
Today: only sure about breakfast so far, the usual. ;)

Hi, gang! What on earth are you all doing home on a weekend??? It's been slim pickins lately. Must be the holiday season is finally over. ;)
Thank you all for the good wishes. I've just been putzing around so far today, clearing out caches of odds and ends that collect on lateral surfaces. You know what I mean?
Monty, your ginger pork sounds really good. I love sauerkraut, but others in the family have wonky plumbing, so I don't fix it often.
I'm glad to see you all today. I'll be back later. We're sort of wrestling over the computer today. DS has inherited my cyber-gene. :p

Wow ... so many here already on a Saturday.
Paring the weight of, "pound by pound" is my main thing lately.:)
Congrats on the 28th Carol.
Welcome Squirrel.
We went for a movie this morning "Up in the Air" but had the times wrong and went to "The Book of ELi" instead and both enjoyed it.
Afterwards we hit, Wal-Mart for a recharger for the Wii controllers, Future Shop to return a Christmas gift that did not fit in the camera, on to Winners, and then to Chapters for a few books.
We each committed to a bag of garbage each throuout the house, and 1 box each for Good Will, in our effort to de-clutter.

Wrap-up for the day:
Carol, sorry I didn't congratulate you before on your anniversary. You're just a couple of years ahead of me--my husband likes to kid that it's 62 years, not 26. Anyway--hope you and the Geezer had a great day!
Michelle, I can't find the original pizza recipe. I thought it was off this forum, but no luck in searching for it. What I do is bake a wrap (like a Mission wrap or a Flatout) at 350 for 7 minutes. Then I top it with whatever--my favorite is a couple tbsp of ricotta, a couple tbsp marinara, mozzarella, and pepperoni and put it back in the oven for 15 minutes. It comes out crispy with melted, gooey cheese.
I opted for a quick PB wrap for lunch. Then I made coconut flour cheese biscuits to go with my supper. They're simple and pretty good. Here's where I found the recipe, in case anyone else is experimenting with coconut flour.

So now I'm lounging after doing a walk around Sam's Club and the mall. My knee sure lets me know when it's done for the day,
Have a good night!

Had the rare opportunity to have breakfast with DH this morning so splurged on extra thick bacon, mushroom and cheese omelet and of course a pot of tea. :D
I will head to the store later and get some roasts to cook up and get into the freezer, so most of the rest of the day will be spent doing that.
More rain, I might as well spend the day in the kitchen.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend everyone,

Hello, everyone!
Bill, my grandson is visiting today. I'm glad when he comes over, I'm also glad when he goes home! Actually, I love him to pieces.
Jilly, that sounds like a good breakfast!
I've been doodling around with the camera today. The Geezer gave me roses for our anniversary and they're opening up nicely. I also have one poinsettia that's still beautiful, so I set them near the window and did flower portraits. ;) The daylight is dull, which is just perfect.

It sounds as if you would get some really good shots with that kind of light. I am waiting to see if my Christmas cactus will bloom a second time.I did, Sharon. My cactus is blooming and I was contemplating it, but I ran out of time. I attached one of the rose shots, but I had to take the resolution down so low that it doesn't do much more than give you an idea. I did, at least, find out how to do thumbnails! Took me a long time to figure it out.
Mexican meal was great. I always give my rice and tortillas to the Geezer to bring home. I did eat about a half-cup of beans with that white cheese sprinkled on. Otherwise just beef, chorizo, peppers and onions all scrambled up together with cilantro and stuff.

As usual lately I'm late posting! I'm going to have to correct that. I just haven't been feeling well since that last bout with some sort of bug. I'm tired, coughing a lot, and even though I'm really tired I can't sleep. After getting up this morning I did my stretching, showered and had breakfast. I skipped church cause I was so tired. About 10am I layed down. Ended up waking up about 5pm. The sleep felt great but now I'm not sleepy when I should be. Oh well I'll fill the Doc in on my February appointment.
Breakfast- Mushroom/Swiss omelet(2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites, 1oz swiss cheese, 1/4c sauted mushrooms), 3/4c strawberries, 2 Esskay turkey bacon, 2c green tea.
46gms protein, 9gms carbs
Lunch- no lunch...slept right through it!
Supper-6oz grilled chicken; steamed broccoli w/bacon vinigarette, 2c green tea
49gms protein, 5gms carbs.
didn't have such a good Sunday...OVER indulged in lc pancakes :o
So not only did I have too many carbs, I have "too much sugar alcohol" bloating.
