If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down.

We've all been down at times, but we're back at it now, right?

Hi, y'all,
Great quote Carol. Only we can keep ourselves down.
Hope you are feeling better today.
Lisa, glad you are feeling better, too.
I am finally feeling alittle bit better.
Taking it easy at home today, really adhearing to the program with a little less salt since some of the meds I have taken have caused me to bloat.
Menu:
B-eggs, slice of low sodium bacon, hood LC milk, tea.
Planned:
L- sliced deli chicken, green salad w/ lc Italian dressing, few Chilean cherries.
S-clementine
D- boiled shrimp in chunky red sauce, artichokes over dreamfield's pasta, sf jello dark choc mousse.
No cardio today, still coughing but will do toning exercises today.
Have a great day, all.

Ick! Lots of stuff going around. Glad you're better. :) Hope you can stay warm.

Actually, I look like I have mumps on one side. I'm home, waiting for the antibiotic to kick in.
Nothing wrong with "same old". Sometimes it's the quest for adventure that gets us in trouble. ;)

All of you sick people need to take care of yourself--glad you're staying home. Keep warm and get better!
Today's going great. I had sausage and cottage cheese for breakfast. I mixed up some Greek yogurt with some DaVinci vanilla, unsweetened coconut, and just a touch of coconut extract--YUM! I plan to snack on some veggies and have a protein shake this afternoon. I have pork and sauerkraut in the crockpot, so I'll either have that for supper or some chili.
I'm still struggling with getting back to my bed to sleep after all of those nights in the recliner. I managed about 3 1/2 hours last night, but it's kind of hard on my husband. I know I'm interfering with his sleep. I have three weeks to get this sleeping thing back to normal before I go back to the doctor and hopefully get cleared to go back to school.
I haven't moved my ticker yet because I haven't had the courage to get back on the scale. I plan to do that later today. I've done plenty of falling down in dealing with how I eat. But I refuse to stay down. I will get this right.
Carol - the mumps??? Yuck!!

I hope the talk goes well, always hard to talk about that stuff. It's been several months now since she quit her job, hasn't it? Hopefully you can convince her to get something, even if its just temporary, until she finds something she wants to do. The stress has to be affecting you, she needs to realize that. (IMHO :))
Was able to get today off work, thankfully. Feeling more ugh than yesterday. Hopefully feeling better by tomorrow, when we go away.
Yesterday was pretty light in the food department, didn't feel like eating much. I don't think today will be much better. I am going to stuff myself full of tylenol in the afternoon and try to meet my sister at the gym since I was the one that talked her into going 3 times a week now.
I hope all the other sickees are feeling a bit better.

Boy that stuf is really making the rounds isn't it. Affecting us all in many different ways. Thankfully I am feeling a lot better and am so grateful for that.
Haven't done much today but sew on yet another quilt...this one for my oldest son and his wife. It will be blue. Hope they will like it but it will probably be quite a while til I get it finished. I love to sew in winter .

GF got laid off 1year ago as of this month. She applied quite a bit for awhile but there just wasn't anything out there.
Now, I hear that companies have adjusted their budgets and are doing a bit more hiring...NOw is the time for her to be searching.
the talk sort of happened. I was able to state my case but she is taking time before responding. Course I can tell she is on edge cause she got mad at me about some stupid other thing.
She'll get over it...I'm not taking on her issue.
I made it through the day on plan. No exercise...it was a 12hr day at work. I don't think I'll be able to exercise tomorrow either as I have my LAST board meeting. WOOT!!
I'm heading to bed...I'm tired.

Well, here I am a day late and a dollar short. Actually a whole lot more than a dollar! :) I spent most of the day yesterday in Abilene at meetings. Lunch was a real bust -- Church's fried chicken, coleslaw, fries and biscuits with peach cobbler for dessert. I did my best, but went way over on carbs. So I was very happy to see Carol's quote. I am not failing since I keep picking myself up!
Everyone with the gee-gaws, you are in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
Tuesday ended up around 100 protein and 100 ECC. Balanced, but way above where I wanted to be and the scale this morning showed that.
