Good morning! Are you still on course? Have the waters been a little choppy this week, or maybe you experienced a little headwind? I did, and I've noticed a distinct "munchie" feeling this weekend. I'm counteracting it by eating mostly protein and drinking more water.

Breakfast will be eggs and sausage. Lunch will be a veggie/sausage/cheese casserole. Dinner will probably be chicken.

I'm home from work this week, which means I'm sleeping in later, so if you get here first, please feel free to start a thread, okay? Today felt so much like a weekend that I actually forgot to login this morning!

Hi, y'all,

Yep, Carol, choppy waters the last two days, plus headwind. Scale not too kind today.

Our dog, Gwennie, (photo in avatar) caught her toenail in her festive bell collar while playing with the nephew, ripped her nail completely off, last evening. She didn't even cry! He noticed it when she bled on the carpet.
Off to the vet ER, who patched her up. Gave her pain medication which after they cleaned it up, helped immensely. She and I will both need to go to bed alittle earlier this evening! .

I, too, am combating the above by lots of water, protein, exercise.

Today:
B-eggs, lite lc cinamon toast w/ butter, coffee, hood choc milk
L- leftover ham, cheese, raw cauliflower, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, few raw cherries.
S-kroger sf cherry yogurt
S-clementine
D- planned: leftover ham, veggies, salad.

Have a great day, all.

Claudette, my cat did that before...we were the best thing to do was soak it, but then the vet laughed because a cat letting us hold his paw in water was pretty funny to him.
Little did he (or we) know...our cat LOVES water and all we had to do was fill the sink with water and he played for about an hour. A good soaking!

We think he pulled it out when he tried to jump up the door to sit on the top of the door, not the door frame, but the actual door because a few days later I saw big scratchmarks on the back of my door and one big hole like that is where it was caught and pulled out.

Hope Gwennie heals quickly!

Enjoy your day off Carol.

I am at work, and suppose I better get started.

The waters were choppy, the canoe tipped a few times, but I am back aboard and on a straight course.
My weight is up as well but it was ham and eggts this morning, no sweets, lots of water and will work out to season 5 of Lost over the next week.

Carol...11 days!! Wow! I can't even imagine that much time off!! Wow!

My trip was okay...lots of exercise, but also lots of food. Not really carby foods, but just a LOT, and very salty. So I've ballooned up. In fact, I'm back in the 220's which is NOT a place I have been in forever! And my clothes are complaining! I HATE this...but that feeling/thought made me climb the stairs at work today! That's something, right?

Smooth sailing here, thanks in large part to a head cold that assisted my will power. I had two tempting family dinners, but each had a good selection of protein. And they were buffet style, so I didn't have to listen to well intentioned relatives with horrible diets admonishing me for not eating more "balanced meals". How come its the always the ones with the worst diets that want to tell you that eating protein is unhealthy?

Are we jumping the gun a bit? Isn't it the 28th today?

Choppy isn't the word I would choose to describe my holiday waters, more like running white water rapids. I did at least have a floatation device on so its not as bad as it could have been.

One more party, but its not a dinner so as long as I eat before we go I should be able to stick to a reasonable amount of nibblies. My uncle will probably try to get me to drink dirty martinis with him....

Today will be eggs and smokies, don't know what's for lunch but dinner will be leftover lamb and cauli. And no wine! (till tomorrows party).

First day back on PP after a looong absence and unfortunately weight gain as well. Blame it in being a sorta newlywed. :p Reality sunk in finally, and I'm back on the plan and looking forward to participating in the challenges and posting and keeping myself accountable!

I was highly successful on PP back in 2003-2004 when I lost a lot of weight and got down to 139. I felt great and my confidence levels and self esteem went through the roof. I met my husband and watched him eat anything he wanted and never gain an ounce :exclamation: Me, not so lucky. I start PP again today and have to get back into the swing of things. I love this way of life and feel so much better.

I look forward to getting to know all of you soon!

It might just be that we remember that it's easier to stay on program than it is to get back on it. Right, Bill? ;)

A step in the right direction, Lisa. :) We're glad to have you along with us.

Welcome back, Lisa! I gained 20 pounds when I got married, then gained weight with each of our two children. That's a common refrain, except my wife lost all her weight after each pregnancy! ;)

The good thing is you know you can do it. It sometimes takes longer the second or third time around, but I've been happy with "slow and steady". I keep telling myself that I'm training for a new way of life instead of dieting toward a goal when I can "go back to eating normally".
