Following low carb eating for 4 months, lost weight and size..My dilemma is that my body aches. It's a travelling ache, 1st my legs then over time the big muscles in upper legs, now my shoulders.

My fatigue level is horrendous. I sleep 8 hours and after 5 hours up and about I am very tired.

I do not want to stop this way of eating however I cannot be sleeping at work and the pain is driving me bonkers. btw I am male, 57 y/o.

Any help or suggestion would be deeply appreciated. If this post should not be here, please advise

by any chance, are you on statin drugs for lowering cholesterol? Terrible muscle aching due to muscle destruction can be a side effect of those drugs.

Please tell us a bit more about yourself...
Firstly tell us what your daily food intake is like...how much protein do you eat? how much fat? what level carbs.
Post a daily menu with the sort of thing you eat daily.

Are you on any other meds?

What weight were you?,How tall are you? how much have you lost? , what's your goal weight?, what's your activity level?

When do the feelings of tiredness come on? When does the pain hit? Is it more or less constant.
Are you taking any supplements ie magnessium and potassium as recommended by the Eades?

Start with those, then we may be able to help you, or if nothing is obvious a visit to your Dr is desirable to eliminate any serious complications due to other medical reasons

Polar Bear, welcome in...I thought this thread would reach more people in 'Working the Plan,' which is designed for questions about how to follow Protein Power. I've moved it to that forum so that you can get as much support as possible. Hope this helps.

Here's another question, Polar Bear. Are you sleeping soundly or might you be snoring all night or experiencing apnea (stopping breathing)? That will fatigue you and keep your body from repairing itself over night, per my doctor. Might your mattress be giving you the wrong support?

I'm 55 and have had some problems in that area.

Good luck, and welcome to our forum!

Also, what vitamins, if any, are you taking? It could be a lack of something that is causing your problems.
