Today was the Annual Great Glebe Garage Sale. Our neighborhood does the same in the fall. Although I have lots of hand weightsI had to buy all teh larger sizes since you never see them at yard sales or used. The run closer to $1.00/pound.

Today I found what I was looking for. A good weights bench, 150 lbs. in weights with the bar, a "chest expansion bar" (coiled spring in tube that you compress) and a skipping rope which I didn't need:) but it helped hold the bench on the roof of teh car. It was a good price and I offered $10.00 less which brought it to $40.00.

I had had some friends looking for these for me in this price range but they we never a full set or a junior set with a short bar and missing most of the weights.

The reason that I post this is oftenwe want some new things for exercise but don't know if we would regularly use them (Roller Blades, Punching Bag, Weights, etc.). I have friends that go to these sales often and know that I am always interested in a floor mounted punching bag or a large rectangular, cast iron fry pan for the BBQ. As well they have a list of things that they let me know they are looking for.

All the best in your bargain hunting.
