(Good think it's not "shakers and movers", then the abbrevation would have a whole different meaning. :) )

I feel like I've been beaten with a very big, dirty stick. I was on my feet for almost 11 straight hours. Bloody restaurant. I wanted nothing more to go the the gym afterwards, still, if only to sit in the hot tub and float in the pool. But one of my headlights in my car went out, and I didn't want to drive any more than I have to until I replace it in the morning. Still, that many hours on my feet out to count as exercise. :)

Walked the dogs when I got home from work. Probably 15 - 20 minutes (approx 3 km I think).

Went to the gym. Figured the walking was good enough stretching, but I think my legs were still suffering from the calf cramp (left).

Well, I started on the treadmill, going a little faster than previously (1st mistake, I guess) (5.0 mph rather than 4.8 mph). Got to 14 minutes, and my right calf cramped so much I thought I was going to scream out loud. Tried to continue, to no avail. Ended up quitting completely, after pausing and rubbing it, at 18 minutes.

The physiotherapist that I have been seeing is attached to the gym, and I asked him what to do for it. He got the person there to put a hot pack on it for about 15 minutes, and then sent me to the stretching station to see if I could work the knot out.

Finished off the day with machine exercises for a while, and then off to the showers. A hot tub would have been nice, but the gym doesn't have one of those.

Put cold and then hot on it when I got home. Took 1/2 muscle relaxant before bedtime. Didn't feel too bad when I awoke, but still tight when I stepped down and went out to walk the dogs this morning.

Sometimes I think my body is rebelling against my plans to get fit.
