Good morning! If you have any wackiness, please share it with us. :) It's a nice break in the week. I always think of Wednesday as "hump" day. We begin sliding down to the weekend at noon.
I think humor is a good way of facing difficult situations. Are you finding any humor as you work the challenge this month?
My breakfast will be sausage patties in the car because I'm running late. Lunch will be beef and provolone. Dinner will be chicken vegetable soup or maybe some of the pork I made last night. My first attempt at wild boar and it was a great success.
I have to leave for Wisconsin tomorrow and I won't be back until Sunday evening. Would you all please carry on for me? Anyone can start the daily thread. I'll be here to start tomorrow's, as far as I can tell.
Have a great day, everyone!
Carol, are you going to WI for fun or work?
I'm here...little early for wacky, but you KNOW I'll be back.

Morning all.... been up for about an hour, last night's headache not only didn't go away it's worse. When I first got up I took 2 potassiums and 2 magnesiums with a big glass of water, hasn't helped so I had to finally break down and take an Aleve (so that's another NSAID day in my 1st 2 weeks of the 6w). Unfortunately I have to go to work, can't call in sick and obviously I need to be able to function. There's also the chance the drugs won't help anyways cuz sometimes they don't, especially if I wait too long to take anything.
My plan is a steak salad (leftover steak, romaine and dressing) with a side of cheese for lunch, shakes the rest of the day.

Amy, thanks for the post on binge eating. I have a real problem with sweet and once started can justify almost anything.
On track today with loads to do. Almost 50 protein and under 12 ECC.
My recent weight gain (past year) was noticed by my doctor and he went through several options and the final one other than referral to weight specialists was to go to a nutritionist along with my wife and I set that up today. This board has always worked in the past so I am already started and we have to jounal (intake/weight/exercise) over the next week to take the results in. I expect she will be a little shocked ... meat, salad, whey protein, meat, salad, meat some fruit , yogurt whey protein and so on.;)
Went to a fundraiser book sale this morning and bought 8 movies and 6 books for $16. Have 2 tasks to complete today and life will be back in order as I continue .
Wacky Wednesday.
In my Facebook there was a post by a woman on a gross occurance on the bus this week. The man in front of her was ------- his nose and ------ it. She nearly puked but had over a dozen responses to her post ranging from grossness, one asking if it was her husband, 2 on nutritional content and one showing little chance of weight gain (http://www.boldaz.com/comedy/news/health.htm).
Sorry for my lack of tack this morning but it is Wacky Wednesday and might be timely with the H1N1 ...

12 minutes hi intensity intervals HIIT on the elliptical, minimum of mile walk.
B= shake
L= eggs and sausage
S= probably peanut butter and apple
D= more damn chicken and salad:(
I've found myself back in the habit of a before dinner drink (martini) after none for over 3 weeks. Don't know what harm it does, but it sure shows up big on the fitday pie chart.:o
I tried to create the ticker thingie but when I pasted the contents of the BB code box, all I got was gibberish. I'm sure all my grandkids -6- could do it in their sleep.

Wednesday 11/4/09
My brothers back in the hospital. Not surprising he's suffering from a blood clot in his ankle. Which is causing pain and swelling of his foot.
Yesterday was the start of an exciting event for our little community. They are shooting some scenes for an upcoming movie in town. The movie is 'Unstoppable' and should be released sometime in November 2010. Its about a runaway train laden with a toxic cargo bearing down on a small town. The talk of the town is when the star of the movie, Denzel Washington, makes frequent trips to a local convenience store for coffee.
I got all my exercise in today, am on target with my water.
No plans for today, just going to enjoy my guitar and some TV.
Breakfast- Cheesy Spinach Omelet(1T olive oil; 1/8 onion, diced; 1 clove garlic, minced; 1c/21gms spinach; 2 slices turkey bacon(I use Esskay's), diced; 4 eggs, beaten; 1oz cream cheese, small dice, 2c green tea. 40gms protein, 6gms carbs.
Lunch- 6oz grilled chicken; 1c steamed buttered broccoli, 2c green tea.
45gms protein, 7gms carbs.
Supper- Baked orange-roughy fillet; 1/2c wax beans; 1/2 med peach, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.

All fun, Amy. It's a history conference where we live in the 18th century for a few days. :)
I started my day with a 10min am yoga routine. I love exercise tv!!
Then I double checked my planned meals for the day and it's a go!!
That's a great start!
Morning all.... been up for about an hour, last night's headache not only didn't go away it's worse.Too bad, Becca. I know that if you wait too long the meds don't work.
Got up early so I can hit the gym before work, I have a late start at work today so have time to workout first. :)
You're my hero, Jilly ;)

Oh, you sound like my husband!
No plans for today, just going to enjoy my guitar and some TV.
Good plan, Bill. Have I ever asked you what kind of music you play? I'm a picker too.

No doubt in my mind. Low carb helps. Stopping the grains helped even more.

Great wackies folks--thanks for the laughs !! I always wonder what Wednesdays will bring us.
Carol, your trip sounds like sooooo much fun !! Have a great time while you are living in the past.
Bill your spinach omelet sounds very good. I have some raw spinach that I need to us up so that will be on the menu for breakfast tomorrow.
Randy, like Carol says they can't argue to much with the results once they see them !!

Good plan, Bill. Have I ever asked you what kind of music you play? I'm a picker too.
I mainly pick old country using the fingerpicking style but enjoy blues and light jazz. I grew up listening to Merle Travis, and Chet Atkins so my style is a cross between them. I've been at it since I was 12 years old. Never did learn to read music I just play by ear.
What music do you enjoy playing?

What music do you enjoy playing?Oh, I'm an old folksinger, but now I do a lot of old-timey. Celtic when I can get it--jigs and reels. I love blues and jazz, but never got the hang of playing it. I picked up the mando a couple of years ago. Not fast enough to play bluegrass.
In order to keep this on-topic, (;)) I have to announce that I drove off without my lunch today! Luckily, I had a Fage in the fridge which saved me. Tonight I'll buy some jerky and cheese to take along for the weekend. I used to make Randy's trail cookies for breakfast, but I forgot and there's no time now. Too bad, 'cause they're great with coffee!

They need lots of soaking. :D
Even when I go on camping trips with the guys, nobody but the mice and I are interested.
not very hungry today- doubt if I'll make the protein # (I aim for 100 to 130)
All else seems to be in line except very low in calories. I always seem low in cals. So why am I losing only 1# wk ?? Now that I finally got the ticker up and running, the turtle certainly fits my progress.
If it weren't for libation (200+) might not make 1200. Oh well, probably be ravenous in the AM.
BTW- anybody heard from Baldy??

Counts for today are Protein 128 ecc 33 calories 1861.
I seem to have lost the few pounds I gained this month at the trailride. I'm back to my ticker weight so good thing I waited a couple of days to change it.
I really want to be 135 where I was in Sept or so of last year. Don't want this to creep up on me.

Bill and Carol, I used to play years ago. Spanish classical, regular classical, and popular 6 string and 12. Haven't played for a long time though, 'cause the nails get in the way...!
Had to drive out of town to teach a class and back into town to teach another one tonight. Still feeling crummy and it's making me want to jump into a big bowl of soup that I didn't have to make. Sigh... Ah, well, I've had two protein shakes and maybe I'll make an omelet when I get home. Now, if I could only get someone to scramble the eggs...

Finished the day on plan...had to fight emotional eating, but made it.
Ate everything as planned this morning.

I made a couple of adjustments but ate on plan. I'm glad I went to the gym in the morning, I would have been too tired to do much after work. I have lots of great leftovers kicking around right now so lunch and dinner tomorrow are taken care of. :D
I hope all the sickees around here are feeling better soon, I'm glad I'm over it.
Carol, have a blast in the past! (wow, that was a groaner )

Evenin' all... not much to report, had my 3 shakes. Added some bably carrots to the lunch I posted. Rough day at work, lost myself in a book when I got home to unwind, so had my dinner shake about 2 hours later than planned. Maybe that will help me sleep later in the morning as my growling tummy might not wake me up ;)
Week 2, day 1 complete.

Not sure if I didn't eat as big a meal last night as normal or what but my stomach was growling by the time I got home for dinner tonight.

Wild boars rock! I used to raise them; they are awesome animals (and tasty too!) I have only a little of our own pork left and am rationing it!
If we carry on, will we get in trouble? :D
Now that Wednesday is past really looking forward to the weekend! I'm hoping to cook some really awesome LC food.
