My previous pregnancy was horrible for one reason. Insulin injections. Which my doctors demanded that I take for type 2 diabetes and consequentially for gestational diabetes. The first four months I did struggle more with carbs but the last months it was easy to maintain my insulin/blood sugar levels with a low carb diet. (low carbing comes fairly easy for me anyway) That didn't stop them from making me continue insulin. Around 6 months they took my A1C and it was 4.9. I think it even went down to 4.1 or something at the end of my pregnancy.

Is it possible to deliver a perfectly healthy, properly sized baby without being on insulin at all? As long as I am diligent to not eat any grains, breads, oats, or sugar.
