This bulletin board is designed to help you improve your health, using Protein Power, a dietary approach developed by Drs. Michael and Mary Dan Eades.
If you're new either to Protein Power, or to this bulletin board, we suggest you start by looking around the Getting Started section. It contains articles and links that will answer a lot of your questions. For technical questions about how the board works, click the FAQ link at the top of the page. For things specific to the way this board operates, take a look at the other threads in this section.
When you're ready to start following Protein Power, Working the Plan is the section to head for. There you'll find day to day support, the company of others in the same boat, and lots of help and encouragement. You can post your menu and get feedback, take part in challenges to help you stay on track and lots more. If the thought of exercise makes you shudder, the Movers and Shakers section is the place to get some ideas about how to start out with something suitable for your current health and fitness level, even if it's just starting to do a little walking.
The Protein Power Living section is for discussing the details of the Protein Power, the science behind it, how to apply it in different situations and different levels: such as getting enough protein in a vegetarian diet, how to feed the family, or how to follow the paleolithic "purist" version of Protein Power. For those looking to expand their well-being beyond purely physical health, The Other 20% focusses on keeping mind and spirit satisfied. The section headings will tell you all you need to know to jump in!
If you're an established exerciser looking to improve your levels of health and fitness with some regular work, Use it or lose it is the place to be.
For anything that's threatening your health - head to the Challenges to Wellness section.
If you're new to low-carb eating, and don't know what to cook, the Let's Cook section has plenty of ideas. If you're an old hand, then take yourself over there and share your favourite recipes!
And if you're still not talked out, then head for the Community Conversations area to catch up with what your friends have been doing, hang out together, and talk about anything that's not related to Protein Power!
Many of the individual sections have a "sticky," a message that will always be at the top of that section, explaining in more detail how they work.
Jump in, and if you have questions that aren't already covered, or you can't find the answers, just ask.
