Here's a link to a short quiz to determine if you might be sleep deprived.
http://quiz.ivillage.com/parenting/tests/sleepdep.htm
Getting rest, keeping balance is very important and we always don't allow time for enough sleep or rest.
Let us know how you did!

YOU'RE IN GREAT SHAPE
You must be getting at least 8 hours of quality sleep each night.
Now, that is not to say that occasionally I don't have a full night's sleep

Took the test but disagree with the answer.
"YOU'RE IN GREAT SHAPE
You must be getting at least 8 hours of quality sleep each night."
Definitely not 8 hours!
Although I rarely doze, I find that eating this way has actually shortened my sleep time. Friday night would be my longest sleep and I somtimes stay in bed an extra hour. I get a weekend nap in about once a month. Lately with brighter days I am often up by 6 or 6:30 which gives me 7 hours. At 306 lbs. I was getting 9 and waking up groggy, often a little late for work.
An after dinner or evening strength workout disrupts my sleep pattern and it is not as sound, and I wake around 5:00 and try to squeeze another hour in.
The answer that I came closest to dozing was when travelling on a bus. It is just so easy to relax to the motion.

Well, I appeared to be doing "okay" - I am a "no caffeine needed" gal :p. However, as tired as I can feel a lot of days, I think I question the verdict ;). I think the problem is that they presented social situations and not the average kind of day or experiences I tend to have.

It says I'm in great shape and get 8 hours. Way off. It makes me think the questions were rather broad. I don't doze in front of MY television programs, but DH's WWII documentaries can work like a lullabye if I'm in my recliner chair. A good novel doesn't cause me to doze, but a computer software manual might. The one thing I'm sure of is: eating this way doesn't make me sleepy after lunch! Probably what saved me is that I don't get sleepy in a vehicle.

Well...since on this program "sleeplessness" has been a constant issue for me....so, I decided to take melatonin from the healthy food store...along with my tylenol pm on nights the melatonin ISN'T kicking it!!!
So, I'm trying to MAKE SURE I get adiquate amount of sleep!!
I've read in the PP and PPLP and on this board that sleeplessness is related to the ketosis state...and that seems to be the state I'm in and will probably remain in. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong?
I'm taking the melatonin and tylenol pm to assure myself that I get restful sleep like the Eades's mention is necessary.
It must be working...because one day this past weekend, my husband told me he woke up early and wanted to cuddle with me...but I didn't MOVE...I didn't make a noise, nothing! He said if it weren't for the fact that I was warm...he thought I was DEAD! lol...and then he thought to himself "Welp, she's finally gone and over medicated herself!"... (He sees the amount of suppliments I take and since he doesn't, he see's them as MEDICINE!lol)

NO CAFFEINE NEEDED
You appear to be getting enough rest but should be mindful of situations where you answered "slight" or "moderate" chance of dozing.
I hate surveys where you can't qualify your answers.....like:
How boring was the book you were http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e352/kevinpa/emots/096.gifreading or play you were watching?
While you were watching TV was it on a comfy couch or were you sitting on a wood floor?
Things like this play a big part in my answers......

"No caffine needed"? Hahahahahaha!! Right. Three or four nights a week, I only sleep about four hours (I know, bad for me, but the kids wake up, and the dogs wake me up, etc.). I'm constantly exhausted. Hopefully my carb restriction/protein increasing will help.

While the survey itself may not be accurate, what does seem apparent is our need for continued talking about getting enough sleep!

I found that taking a 5-HTP capsule an hour before bedtime improves the quality of my sleep. It is also supposed to be helpful for weight loss. My apologies if this is contrary to PP; my copy of the book hasn't yet arrived.

Well...I am definitely considered 'sleep deprived' in my head...I haven't gotten a solid 8 hours for more than two-three days in a row since going back on chemo on April 5th.
However, my answers to the quiz put me in the "you're in great shape" category. Oh well, it can be difficult to write survey questions that cover enough contingency. ;)
