Testosterone 37 range is 16-55 age dependant...normal-high for 53 years old

DHEAS 6.0 range is2-23

anyone know anything about all this.

Doc also took 9 blood tests and found I have no Vitamin d. don't seem to assimilate it.

I don't know anything about interpreting the numbers, and I don't really know how you'd expect the estradiol and progesterone to change through a healthy menopause, but a book that focuses on different hormone profiles as you go through the menopause is Know Your Menopause Type, by Joseph Collins. It might help you to decide what treatment you want to go for - it sets out the options of which herbs and supplements are helpful and which aren't in addition to HRT, depending on whether estradiol, progesterone and testosterone are high or low. You can do the symptom questionnaire from the book on-line at their web-site (http://www.yourmenopausetype.com/questionaire/mtq.html). (Though that's probably less useful given you've had the levels actually measured.)

Did the doc suggest vit D tablets or injections to raise your levels? I know vit D is something Dr Mike is very keen on, but if you have such problems assimilating it, you probably need something more than a bottle from the health food shop.

VIt D Tablets won't work. I already take them. I got a bottle of liquid yesterday that was ordered from a pharmacy. It is over the counter but only they carry it. 4 drops under the tongue. Leaky gut.... gotta love it. Allergy to wheat and grains caused this. I was hoping it would heal and not be a problem.

(((Hawk))) I'm sorry you have such a hard time. At least with the Dr monitoring your vit D levels, you'll know if the drops are getting into your bloodstream.

Did you ever try the leaky gut repair suggestions in PPLP? It's fairly drastic (just specially composed shakes), but only for a week or so, then you go back to the purist regimen, which I know isn't easy, but at least it's real food :).

Purist is easy. Just want to keep reinforcing that. It's just a matter of finding your routines like anything else.

Hawk, how's your sunshine exposure?

I have the stuff Mitra. I have done the leaky gut thing for a week at a time. Maybe I need to do it for a longer period.I also take probiotics.
