Here's the weekend again! Are you prepared to make this your best weekend ever? Let's charge through with renewed committment to stay on plan foodwise, work on the "other 20%" with gusto, and decide to live life to it's fullest.
My planned meals are oats/soy grits with poached eggs for brekkie, the rest of the bass and vegetable medley for lunch, and probably a chefs salad for supper. Have been ignoring the fresh veggies lately. Interspersed will be kefir, almonds, and a bit of dark chocolate.
Have a great weekend, everyone! :D

Brigit-Carol -- What an EARLY-BIRD! Unbelievable! It's way early for me. I get to go to a work Seminar this morning! I had a LC yogurt and cottage cheese and a piece of leftover chicken breast for breakfast!
Lunch will be broiled Salmon and the local Italian Deli
Dinner will be something Grilled -- unless it snows like it's supposed to ... the I'll NOT be grillin' :)

We're enjoying some lovely autumn weather at the moment. And I've just stocked up with vegetables, a chicken, and a leg of salt marsh lamb from the farmers market, so things are looking pretty good here :).

Kind of a quiet Saturday ... WOW! check in people ... check in! :)
OK! ALright..OK...
I got up. I rode my bike. I ate sardines. I feel ok.
I made some awesome jewlery with a couple friends. had a good time.
I ate some chicken soup with friends.
I came home took a shower , got fluffed up and went to an afternoon wedding.
I ate chicken and salad at the wedding.
I went to a Haiti benefit after the wedding. I did not eat the chili and all the brownies and carbage.
At the benefit it felt like I have railroad spikes driven up my legs after about an hour. I smile I walk around the room, I hug people. I talk to people I have not seen in awhile. I have a good time with them.I ignore the pain. We are one of the last ones to leave because my husband is a total people person. Finially I want to scream. I calmly say..my legs feel like railroad spikes are driven up them, please lets go. We have helped clean the place up and are the last to leave.
I get into the car.. sheesh..it hurts. What's up with that? This cannot possibly be normal. Right now everything hurts again. my day.

Lynn ... There's got to be a solution to that? Isn't there? I mean dealing with that pain on a daily basis isn't "OK" ... right?

Gee, Dean, I slept in until dawn -- 7:00. I felt like a real laze-about. I'll be really glad when the time changes so it's light earlier in the morning.
(((Lynn!))) I'm so sorry for your pain. Glad to hear that part of your day was pleasant. What kind of jewelry do you make?
Really is a slow weekend on the board -- hope everyone is out and about enjoying yourselves.
Not much going on here at all. Watched the pilot and 2 episodes of "Stargate" yesterday -- not quite "Startrek", but enjoyable just the same. Am on target foodwise. Today's plan is yogurt w/ whey and berries for brekkie, sausage and eggs w/ veggies for lunch, probably black soybean salsa w/ LC tortillas for supper. I'll also get in almonds, kefir and dark chocolate at some point.

Hi, gang! Sorry to be AWOL yesterday. The Geezer and I drove up north and got home quite late. Some bad news about a friend in an accident greeted us and the rest of the evening was not so much fun. My food was skimpy, a shake and some nuts, but ended up in little pub with a steak and grilled vegetables.
Today, I downloaded the pics from the trip and the sensor on my camera seems to have picked up some rude particles. Now I have to get some advice because it's a delicate operation. Maybe I'll just take it to the camera shop. Great color, though!
We went furniture shopping this afternoon and found a sleeper chair and two recliners on sale. They'll be delivered Wednesday!
Breakfast today was a few nuts with my morning coffee. Lunch was a bunless double cheeseburger. Just did some sausage and a good stack of broccoli. Lindt to follow, I'm sure. The good thing is that I have lunch food prepared for the week.
Sorry about last night. I should not unload on you all. I try to stay posative. I was up most of the night after that. I just could not sleep. I kept breaking out in a sweat.
Ibuprofen and tylenol does not work and I won't take anything stronger. Today I feel the same. I painted and walked and was mostly nauseated just from the pain and have not been eating much.
After I read the Eades blog on How dr's and meds make people sicker, I don't know if I want to have anymore tests. I need to call monday and find out my blood test results. Dr. wants me to see a rhumatologist if he can't figure it out. I want to chuck it all and just keep working out and eating lo carb.:peeved: I agreed to the blood tests in case I inherited my grandmas pernicious anemia or I have lymes disease or something like that.
Carol..how much fun to buy new furniture. I would like to see new livingroom pics after you get them in place.;)
Bridget,Dean and Janet..the weather here is nice also. G-man went to a harlem globe trotters game in which a friend of ours is playing against them for a benefit for the local high school. I stayed home and am preparing the post game food for a crowd. A fire out on the deck will be afterward. I baked a chocolate cake...don't dare to even lick the spoon. THey all are chocoholics...I feel like an enabler.

Snowed here yesterday and today ... ARRRRG! Supposed to snow a little tonight too. I don't want to wake up in the morning having to shovel my walks!

Carol -- sorry to hear about your friend. But what fun to buy new furniture! If you don't mind me asking, what's a sleeper chair? Is it like a sleeper sofa but narrower? I'm looking for something for the guest room and all I could find is the single futons at Walmart.com. They don't look very comfy to me.
Lynn -- sorry you are still struggling with health issues. You are in my prayers. As to enabling chocoholics -- enable away! And I would lick the spoon.
Dean -- SNOW!?!??! Good heavens, I'm glad I'm a Southerner. :)

I'm looking for something for the guest room and all I could find is the single futons at Walmart.com. They don't look very comfy to me. The friend is out of serious condition, no back injury except a couple of cracked vertabra, all the breaks were clean and plastic surgery will fix up his face. Motorcycle accident in the dark. Not his fault, but he's the one that got hurt. Everybody's cheered up considerably.
The sleeper chair is exactly like a sleeper sofa only twin-sized bed. This one is an updated version of the kind where you can feel every crossbar by morning. It's made by England and that brand is sold in several stores in my area. It's only 52" wide and a much better scale for my living room than it's predecessor. It looks like a loveseat with two seat cushions. My feet rest on the floor with my back against the chair back, for one thing. Did I mention I'm too short on one end? :D
