Good morning! I am so happy this morning. I think a lot of it stems back to the fact that yesterday I followed my food plan EXACTLY AND I actually went to the gym!! Two things that make me feel good, and I actually DID them!!
WOOHOO!!
Today I plan the same. Follow my food plan and workout. Simple, easy, yet sometimes un-obtainable. :o.
7am 3eggs, 4sausage patties
12pm lc goulash, 4oz pickles, jell-o mold
3:30pm 2laughing cow cheese, bran crackers, iced latte
workout
6pm 5oz ground pork, 4celery stalks, 1cup green beans
7pm 30 almonds.
Pro: 121.5
Ecc: 29
Fat: 154.6
Cal: 2059
So, what's your plan today? Do you have one? If not, take a moment and MAKE a plan. Life is so much easier when you're not having to figure out every detail moment by moment...at least it is for me.
Hey Amy , thanks for the good start! Good for YOU!
Yes..a plan makes a big difference. Gotta have something to aim at.
When I get my workout done 1st thing, I feel like half my day is crossed off. Puts a smile on my face too.
It dawned on me that the last two to three weeks, I went back to purist and 5-8 carbs a meal. Very low and am not taking potassium. Maybe that is the dragging achy feeling. Duh. I took some last night and this morning. Hopefully things change. I also added more fat because I am lifting so hard.
B) 3 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs
L) sardines, 1 c green beans
D) chicken breast, small salad, ranch dressing
sn)raw almonds 10-15 w/ cream cheese
protien shake in there somewhere

Good morning!
I feel better today, but the knee is still aching. I'm going to give it a few more days and if it's not better by then, I'll call my orthopedist. Phooey!
I have to confess that I also have been eating some of the wrong stuff lately. Today is a new day and a fresh start. DH has a dinner tonight which means I can really stick to plan. If I don't cook, then I have a couple of nice carry-out places near me that offer some wonderful salads with lots of protein, so I may do that.
Hawk...You must share your cave paintings with us. I always admire anyone with any creativity as I have almost none.
Amy...Congrats on your great day yesterday! I love days like that.
Everyone have a good day!

WOOHOO!! It's so fun to see you happy instead of frustrated, Amy. I love it when it works, don't you?
So, what's your plan today? Do you have one? If not, take a moment and MAKE a plan. Life is so much easier when you're not having to figure out every detail moment by moment...at least it is for me. :nod:Absolutely! My plan is working at the moment. Breakfast shake done, lunch (sausage w/feta) done. Nothing looming on the horizon that will sidetrack my exercise after work. Thanks to you, I remembered I have some laughing cow in the office fridge. I usually have a snack before I go to the gym but yesterday I didn't "plan" for one so I was way hungry when I got home and ate too much protein.

BC, I'm glad your tachy's done, but it sure stayed a long time! Do you feel back to normal today?

Carol...What kind of sausage are you having for lunch? I LOVE feta!
I think lunch for me today is my version of tuna salad...tuna, mayo, some capers, a few Kalamata olives, some chopped pecans with lettuce on a La Tortilla Factory tortilla.

Good morning all -- at least it's still morning here in Utah.
Had a great start to Tuesday ... I really like the week once Monday is out of the way ... Mondays are always so damn stressfull.
Went to the gym already for the day ... got my 100g's of protein in the system already and now I'm ready for lunch!
I had another Orthodontist appointment today ... as a result my mouth will be considerably sore for the next couple of days. This time en leiu of breaking my lower jaw to correct my slight overbite .... I've now got elastics -- I feel like the geek in jr high that just got his mouth full of wire and elastics .... except its a mouth full of plastic and elastic.
Anyway ... other than a sore mouth ... today is an exceptionally GREAT day!

Carol...What kind of sausage are you having for lunch? I LOVE feta! It's slices of Purnell's breakfast sausage that I fry up in batches and freeze in ziplock bags to grab quickly. The feta seems to go well with the flavor. It's less herby than some of the more popular breakfast sausage.

Hi, everyone--
Thought I'd catch a moment while my students are doing a test to check in. I miss being here regularly. :frown: I've been finding that my schedule just doesn't allow for a minute to myself these days.
Did I mention how much I appreciate those who manage to get the threads started and answer questions, especially for newbies? :) I've been thinking that I'm glad everyone's not as erratic as I've been this month.
I'm still maintaining, but not attentive enough to lose. For now, that's okay with me. My husband and I were just talking about that this weekend. I understand now that I will have to eat LC for the rest of my life (not that it's a punishment or anything, but there are habits that I will have to say goodbye to forever). I need to find a way to live without focusing my day around gaining or losing. I know I need to lose more, and I will. I think my next challenge is going to be planning for the holidays. NEAN'ing was a great strategy last year; I don't know if I'm quite there this year or not.
You guys are great!
Have a good day, everyone.

We miss you, too, Ruth. I understand how it is. I'm glad to hear you talk about your program as a lifelong one. I think that shows a different mindset that the "on a diet" pattern.
I think you should show more movies so the kids can be glued to the screen and you can come and visit us! :)

Yeah, but I have this problem: I'm too persnickety about movies. I only show movies that direct the kids' thinking where I want it to go, so I have to focus on guiding them DURING the film. Maybe I'm too much of a control freak.

Yup! That's what it sounds like, Ruth.
I won't even tell you how much of a control freak I am. ;) Although, if anyone had told me I would allow Spongebob to be on for two solid hours just to get a rest, I'd have smacked them.
I was a little short on sleep last night, but I put in a full day's work. I had salad for dinner, a little short on protein. Went to the gym after work. All in all, a good day.
