I've been a lurker here for a long time and figure I may as well register; I'm registered at every other forum out there. :)
I recently celebrated my four year Eades-iversary. http://www.planet-smilies.de/essen/essen_026.gif Low carb eating not only got rid of my excess weight, but solved the more serious problems that I never would have believed were associated with eating good ol' pasta, cereal and skim milk like "they" tell you to eat. The depression with which I've struggled since I was a teenager is virtually gone, my family-curse acne is likewise nearly gone, I'm no longer perpetually cold and tired the way I was eating low fat (shudder), and overall, I feel fantastic.
I've read lots of different LC books, but PPLP is the one that resonates with the most truth for me. I really appreciate the Eadeses' blogs and their philosophy toward studies and other new information: they sufficiently support their theories, but aren't afraid to acknowledge when it really isn't clear; nor do they flip-flop every time there's one mouse study that demonstrates (whatever).
I think that's it for now... good health and good eating to everyone.
