I have been so busy this year, I haven't kept us near as much as I did previously. Have the Eades made any statements about how they view the glycemic load theory? Seems I recall they didn't think much of it. Do they pretty much feel that a carb is a carb is a carb?

Same goes for Taubes, what is his position?

Yes, I have their books but it's been awhile. I'm perusing them again now.

I'm not sure about Taubes. The Eadeses have said that there are so many factors that will change the glycemic load of a food (like how it's cooked, whether you eat it alone or with other things...) that it's just too complicated to be useful, and you're better off just counting carbs - it's much simpler, and you know you won't overdo it.

Net Carbs is also a pretty good proxy for GL, anyway. So, Why bother with GL.
