"Self-respect is the root of discipline. The sense of dignity
grows with the ability to say no to oneself."
*Abraham Joshua Heschel
No! NO NO!
There I said, but you know what most have been saying no (at least some of the time) for years. Discipline might be saying no at times, but discipline is also about saying yes yes YES.
Yes to our need for protein and veggies and fiber, water, exercise and variety. Yes to supplements if you take them, yes to antioxidants and yes to a routine of keeping things going consistently.
There are so many more yes' in our days than there are no's, certainly no need to feel like we are missing things. What we are missing is the junk that we used to eat, that we used to somehow placate in our minds that it was okay to eat, now who would say yes to things that harm?
So if you can think of this program as a YES program and not in one you have to say no to things about, it might help to keep us on track!
Say yes to good health--I like that!
Have a great day everyone!
