Hi for those of you who remember me, I’m back. For those of you who don’t know me I regularly posted on this board while I lost 130 Lbs and for awhile after but dropped out of sight. My weight has crept up 40 pounds  from my low so it’s time to rededicate myself to working this plan. I was out gardening this weekend and I felt the weight gain. I really haven’t totally fallen of the wagon (mostly low carb but they carbs have creeped up I’m sure) from an eating standpoint totally but exercise has slipped so it’s back to intervention phase and exercising daily. I want to lose weight prior to my wedding on July 22 :D as we are going to Chile skiing for our honeymoon and if gardening bothered me what will skiing at altitude be like?

Goals are to post regularly again, run at least 5 days a week (get back up to an hour a day) and complete body weight training 2-3 times a week. And back to 35 ecc a day!

I'm sorry it took an extra 40 lbs, but it's good to see you again. Don't do too much too soon with that exercise - give your body time to get used to it again!

ELLEN!! When I saw "poodlewoman", my FIRST thought was... "What's up with the man?!?!!?" :p Oh! Congratulations!

And, of course, you've done this before... just "get back on the horse", and you will be getting up and around the hills like you used to do!

WELCOME HOME!
Sherry

Poodlewoman, HELLO! Wow, it's good to see you...and with a wedding announcement, no less! Are you still showing dogs?

(psst...if you need extra motivators, I'm sure Shadow the warrior princess/exercise goddess will step up to keep you on the straight and narrow...) ;)

Great to see you again; welcome back!

Ellen - I am so very happy to see you back with us :D! Congratulations on the upcoming wedding!!!

Get up and dust off your britches - you know what needs to be done ;). As for the exercise, I just know you'll get back into it - but if not, I'll be here a whoopin' ya :p!

Now, since we have a new setup on this board - and to keep any excuses at bay ;) - the M's & S's in this forum is for those just getting into exercise. The more experienced, established exercisers post in the Born To Be Fit forum. Wherever you feel comfortable is where you should post. I just want to hear from you one place or the other :D!

Thanks for welcoming me back. So far so good as far as eating goes but I haven’t really ever totally got off low carb...just a few more cheats than I can do without heavy exercising. I ran three mornings in a row but am not able to do lower body weight training today as I probably should have done lower weights on Tuesday and feel it when I run or even climb the stairs to my office…there’s always tomorrow! And thanks for the congats on my upcoming wedding.
Gaelen-my two dogs are healthy but 11 and 12 now so no more showing, they have retired from jumping but still are in great health and push me to run everyday…they both get excited when I put my running clothes on…and when I don’t they give me the big sad eyes, I just have to let those eyes guilt me into what I need to do…

Poodlewoman, some days I'm not sure they're ever too old. Casey is 11 1/2 (and except for some transient back issues that earn him an occasional visit to the doggie chiropracter) he's in pretty good shape and very active for an old man. He still willingly jumps on his own, so I decided last year to let him go as far in Rally as his health would permit. He's having a ball when I show him, and it's obvious--he earned his RN, RA and RE titles in 9 straight shows. He also earned 8 RAE legs (qualifying scores in both Rally Advanced and Rally Excellent on the same day, for three jumps a show) before I had to take a break for surgery this March. He'd have the title, but I messed up two RE classes, and one show we'd entered was cancelled for weather! As soon as I'm strong enough, we'll finish that RAE (only two more double Q's to go), and if he's willing, I'll go for his CDX. But I know what you mean about the sad eyes being your incentive; when I'm too sick to walk him on treatment days, he cuddles up and just looks at me. Then the four year old across the grass knocks on the door, and he's rarin' to go like a youngster!

Gaelen-
My female never really enjoyed showing (she’s the one who is 12) when I trained her regularly in classes she was more into being the flirt and like the social aspect of it, her healing was never great. She is having trouble with getting up on the bed these days as her shoulders bother her at times. My male who was my star pupil has lost most of his hearing and I trained him more with verbal commands, he does know signals but it hard to work him with just the signals so we just enjoy small workouts in obedience and just having fun with it. When I do work him with signals he’s pretty good but misses some so showing would be frustrating for both of us. He gives me that confused look at times like I don’t know what you want. Both made it as far as CDX, and I was just starting on utility when I moved and haven’t found a group to train with to teach that to them…. And I never showed dogs before these 2 so I’d need the training as well. There more agility in this area and although both of them did some agility work, I had focused more on obedience. Maybe the next dog I’ll do the agility stuff but 2 dogs are enough for me right now.
