Happy Monday!

WE DID IT!

For Realz Yo!

We went a whole month.... We checked in, we thought about what would be gifts to ourselves and we held (or at least tried) fast to the gifts we wanted to give ourselves. Did you notice anything about June that is different from other months?

I did...... For me, June brought inline to think only about my needs. What is it that I need from me (or others) today? I found that even if I started with my basic gifts.... If plans changed, they were usually out of my control OR it was for a BETTER gift to myself. I also found that I was willing to think about the gifts I could give my DH (my closest relationship). I take care of me = I am happy = DH is interested in my good mood = DH is happy = a good relationship.

On this last day of June, my gifts are much the same as they have been all month......

1. Sleep - I am up early... so if i need a nap, I will take one.
2. Stay On Plan - Ketones came up negative today. BIttersweet - what the doctor wants but I also realize I might not have burned fat.... Today I continue to stay on plan.
3. Read - This is the major gift of June. I found time daily to READ! I finished almost 2 novels and read TONS of non-fiction material.
4. Have Fun- This means sewing today. I am looking forward to it!
5. House Management - Last night I came up with a TTD list for today. It's a minor list as July 1st will be my main cleaning day this week.

Thanks for the Support of a GREAT Month!

Feelix, you've started such wonderful posts this month...thank you so much!!

My gifts this month centered around making sure I took the time to do things that I like/want/need to do. Time is so valuable, and so often spread too thin that you skip things that you WANT to do, but don't HAVE to do. My issue, often, is working out. Taking the time to do it, and this month I did! And I loved it.

So, I'll do it again today!
Gifts:
1. workout. I would like to do my rowing, but then also do a bit of time on the recumbant bike, just a slow relaxed fatburn type workout.
2. Shop for tailgaiting party I'm hosting.
This Thursday we're hosting a tailgaiting party and since I'm so busy this week, I need to get everything prepared TONIGHT so I'm not rushing around doing it at the last minute! I have many things prepared, but need to take stock and finish prep work.

Food is planned and packed.
7am 2eggs, 2sausage, 1lc toast, 1/2 c OJ
11am lc goulash, 1c snow peas
3pm 1hb egg, 1/4c chicken salad, 2bran crackers
6pm Dbl burger from Wendy's with side caesar salad

Pro: 134
Ecc: 43
Fat: 173
Cal: 2295

Did you notice anything about June that is different from other months? Good morning, and thanks for starting the thread again. June was a good month for me. I made myself aware of all the little incedentals that can constitute a gift. I have a new appreciation for the benefits of those little gifts and I take time to savor them.

I had a really carby breakfast this morning at the first summer potluck at work. I tried to prepare for it by having some plain meat before I left the house so I wouldn't be too hungry. That worked as far as volume, and there was ham and sausage and fruit on the buffet, but I caved to some carbs after it was all over. Now I get to analyze that for the rest of the day. :p The *sleeping tiger* woke up and opened one eye. Let's hope he dozes off again right away!

Hi Everyone!

I am back from some a self-imposed online hiatus. Got a lot of work done, but sure did miss this board. I have been quietly lurking for a few weeks and am looking forward to tomorrow, July 1st, so I can actively join back in. See you all tomorrow for the July Challenge!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Vivienne :-)

1. Sleep - Took a nap....
2. Stay On Plan - YUP! Success!!!
3. Read - I was able to read a little.... I chose too.....
4. Have Fun- TSEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! between breaks, I crafted from 12pm to 10pm. It was so much fun! I had to doctor my sewing machine which took time through out the day, but I managed to finish off 2 small men's shaving kits and created a large size pattern and made 3 more! I also made a pincushion that ties onto the sewing machine!
5. House Management - I did accomplish some of this.. 4 bags of trash out the door, 30 minutes invested into shredding junk mail, 2 loads of laundry completed and I can find my kitchen counters! I have more to do but it was a good start!

THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GREAT MONTH! BRING ON JULY!
