Do something nice for yourself today. It doesn't have to be expensive or spectacular or unforgettable, just a little something. Do it whether you're happy with the way your month is going or not so. Don't judge whether you deserve it or not. Just plan a little hug today.

I was up early today. My bs reading was nice and low so I decided today would be a good day for my A1c test. I've been to the lab and back and have my coffee beside me.

Carol, you're doing such a great job with your blood sugar! Hope the A1c test comes out just as well.

I actually had breakfast today. That's been an issue all week--I just haven't been hungry in the morning at all. Now I need to get some lunch before I head to the grocery store. One of my recent graduates is having a showing of her own artwork at her home today, so we need to go there. Other than that, it's just time to do some things around the house.

So I need to get busy...

Hey we got thunderstormed out of our yard sale that my daughter wanted to have with her stuff.
I got a call from #2 son. He is 30. Remember when I had hives for a month and was not sleeping? He has them now and Docs cannot find the cause. I was there two weeks ago. Think it is a virus of some crazy kind? He was in the emergency room and has been on meds which make him loopy. He has not been able to go to work all week.

I feel fine now. I have been eating well.Playing with my new puppy, cleaning the garage, and plotting some furniture and room changes.I will take my daughter to the train soon to go back to Chicago and spend the afternoon doing art or cleaning in the basement...organizing. I am in the mood.

Glad you're doing well, Hawk! Hope your son is soon recovering, too. Rashes and hives are notoriously difficult to pin down--I know rashes can be viral--don't know about hives.

Where is everyone today...?

Breakfast was Greek yogurt with some Kashi, lunch was a salami/cheddar/spinach wrap. Supper was LC chili/cheese/sour cream. I think I'll indulge in a bit of SF ice cream tonight. I still need more protein--might eat some diced chicken after a bit.

Good Evening!

I have had a busy but fun day!

For me it started at 6:30am (not apart of the sleep plan :)) had a quick shower, opened the door to the in-laws at 6:45am and served fresh coffee. Made a protein shake and by 7am FIL was out the door and 7:15am MIL, my neighbor and myself were in my car, on the road to the RC Cola and Moonpie Festival in Bell Buckle, TN. It was so much fun. We were there for an hour, scoped out the craft booths (around 50) and then hit up the fried food stand. I had a Fried Moon Pie, my neighbor had a Fried Snicker's Bar and my MIL had a deep fried corn dog. (Needless to say I was not ON PLAN today - but it was a great treat!)

We hit the road and on the way back hit up a great fabric store called Sir's in Fayetteville, TN. We spent 2 HOURS touching fabric.

Being inspired by fabric makes one hungry, so we had Whitt's BBQ (Pulled Smoked Turkey - DELISH!) and hit the road to home.

Fortunately there was a Big Lots in the way, so we stopped to take a look. We found Leather Journals $5 & $7 that we couldn't turn down.

Back in the car we made it home. JUST IN TIME as DH was grilling burgers and bratwurst. We ate and sat back and chatted. (FIL came back and neighbors DH came over too)

Right now, DH and I are hangin' out. He leaves tomorrow for work (gone a week and a half) and so it's nice to just be together.

I had a wonderful day! food, friends and family... what more could one ask for?

the days and nights have mostly been escaping me:eek::D

busy at work, busy at home and my eyeballs are hurting when I spend too much time reading (paper or computer). Methinks time to go to eye doctor again.

I've been pretty good about being on plan, not getting in too much exercise, though.

Treated myself very well today. I watched three movies on Showtime that I've wanted to see:

Premonition, Employee of the Month, and Failure to Launch.

and watch a movie, can't remember the name, about a man who starts a swim team in Philadelphia in the 70s. Best movie of the bunch;)

My scale is moving on down ... finally -

Very quick checkin...
I'm at MIL's in Wisconsin. Ate REALLY WELL all day, even ignored the cheesy hash browns for supper, but then had angelfood cake with strawberries and cream. It was really good, but now I'm back on plan!
I'll check in tomorrow...but wanted y'all to know I'm doing well while here.

I spent the day with friends and actually ate very little. Breakfast was a protein shake, lunch was a small serving of leftover beef stew and dinner was a chicken breast and a serving of green beans. I just had a snack before bed. I'm up late, but I spent three hours sleeping in my chair when we got home. See you all tomorrow!

Good morning. I'm doing a yoga course this weekend, so I haven't been around much. It finishes at lunch time today. I'll catch up with you all later :).

Happy Sunday Morning!

This morning started at 4:30am and DH thought his flight left at 8am. Unfortunately, reading a plane reservation is not DH's strong suit and his flight was suppose to be at 6am. So after dropping him off at the airport, I turned around 5 minutes later and picked him up. He was able to come home for 2 1/2 hours and then back to the airport for his new flight.

I am still ON PLAN! (I promise eating Fried Moon Pies are not on the daily eating schedule- It was a special treat though!) I am proud I didn't buckle under the change in schedule.

A compliment from my MIL... (I know, i couldn't believe it!) She has noted that I'm not eating the same food and said that I am looking more all baby and losing weight in my body! I was tickled and asked DH about it (he doesn't lie about looks, even when I want him too. :)) Losing weight is not in the plan of eating the PP way but if its a perk... I'll take it.

So the bonus of eating the PP way (40-80 carbs in a day) for 4 weeks

I have lost 4lbs and not have gained any weight with this pregnancy. (I will find out my official weight Friday)
I am growing a healthy baby
I am feeling good
Heartburn is little to none
I am looking good and based on other people's opinion!

I am having a great weekend. I hope y'all are too!

Well, we're packing to go back home.
Lots of eggs this trip, but very on plan. Even ignored the big (and I mean BIG) glass of milk I wanted this morning!
Had the angel food cake last night, but told myself I would NOT have any today, and I haven't. I have been munching on deviled eggs when I'm hungry, thank goodness she made those!!
We bought cheese at the cheese shop and I have my bran crackers, so if I get hungry on the way home I have somthing to munch on.

Did my PT this am, but won't fit in pilates. I did both last night and my abs are a bit sore from the Pilates, so I'll just rest today.

That's all I have. Looks like a nice sunny day for traveling!

Oh, on a side note...if you tried the sf vanilla iced coffee at McDonalds, beware...the large is 32 ounces!!!
I was SO stuffed after I drank that yesterday!! YIKES!!

Watch out for the iced lattes, though. Sugar free doesn't mean low carb and you might be surprised if you haven't checked the nutritional data. Hope you had a good trip home.

I can't believe it's so late in the day. I went to the late church service and then did some very necessary grocery shopping. My knees are wiped out from the standing and the slow walking, but I got everything I needed. It was raining this morning, but it's very nice now that the sun's out. I'm cooking up some food for lunches during the week.

Your back must be doing well! The yoga weekend was the final one of ten that were part of a course spread over two years. Over the two years there have been some weekends when my back has been pretty good, and some when I was very limited. This one was towards the better end, but still, I'm glad to let it rest now.

I hope you haven't hurt your knees with the standing around - standing and slow walking are hard, aren't they?

I hope you haven't hurt your knees with the standing around - standing and slow walking are hard, aren't they? Our church has a marble floor, which is a killer. The neighboring village has carpet and I can stand much better. Yes, a pace that moves right along is more tolerable. Since I've been exercising regularly I recover more quickly after a little rest but I can't seem to get back to where I was before I injured the knee.

Are you on your own now with the yoga? Is there a local group that meets occasionally?

My lunches for the week are in the freezer. Dinner tonight is greek yogurt fancied up with crushed almonds, blueberries, sf jello and cinnamon. I did some mending in front of the TV this afternoon and a few odd jobs, but nothing towards moving furniture back into the living room. We need to clean every surface to get the fine dust up, beginning with the floor. You're all invited over to help! :D I will see if there's a day this week that I can escape unnoticed, but it's the last week of the school district's fiscal year. :p

It's 7:45pm here but I am done for the day.

I managed to stay On Plan today.

I also craft/fabric shopped all afternoon which was great fun! Now.... I just have to do something with what I got!

HOWEVER, I will not be doing much tonight as I am exhausted! Its been a long day, busy weekend and I'm ready for bed....

I hope everyone's weekend brought them joy, peace and closer to the dreams and goals you have in life!

HUGS!

We're home...and I TOTALLY blew it on the way home :(.
I had a PP breakfast (5ecc) then for lunch I had a sandwich with 2slices of bread and cheese curds :(, then later on I had a dbl cheeseburger with the whole bun and a med iced coffee.
BUT...for supper, gf wanted chinese, and I said no, I had to get back on plan so I had two hot dogs with mustard (no bread) and a small slice of cheese and a lc beer.
So....hopefully I can continue to fight the urges and stay back on plan.

Oh...the McDonalds med iced coffee is 11-17 carbs!!! The nutrition data on the wall at McDonalds said 11, but the website says 17...either way OUCH!! Back to Starbucks for me!!!

Good for you, Feelix.

BUT...for supper, gf wanted chinese, and I said no, I had to get back on plan Isn't that the toughest concept? I used to say "tomorrow I'll start over... or Monday... or January... etc. Congratulations for starting where you're at and not stringing it out through supper. Tomorrow will be a better day. You're just travel-worn. :)

Carol, I'll still have my personal lessons with my teacher, and the group from the course has asked him for another weekend next year, and is thinking about maybe doing it annually.

Feelix, I'm just putting in an order by mail for some fabrics. The problem is I always seem to buy three new ones for every one I sew .

Enjoyed reading everyone's posts. Except for Saturday night (which was a planned "honey tree" meal), I was on-plan all weekend. Our former organist was here for rodeo weekend and we had planned on meeting at a mutual friend's house so they could babysit the grandbabies and allow their kids to go to the rodeo, which is also homecoming and class reunions.

I was really good -- four Triscuits with lots of cheese spread--it's amazing how much cheese spread one can eat on just four crackers!--, about four bites of spaghetti salad, 3 helpings of a fabulous green salad, which our hostess called a salad pizza -- a bed of interesting greens, and piles of cucumbers, tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, broccoli, three kinds of olives, feta cheese, with balsamic dressing, and accompanied by three bottles of wine. After three glasses of wine (I had to try each!), I did succumb to a brownie, but it was small. But oh, so good!

I'm not going to weigh until Wednesday. Since I was still up 3 lbs. for no reason, at least this weight gain has a cause. But hopefully it will be gone by Wednesday.

The visit with good friends was my treat for the week.
