Happy Tuesday!

My Tuesday Gifts are simple!

1. Food - Stay on Track. Aiming on getting to the grocery store to pick up specific needs for a new recipe.

I have been back on track since Sunday (Saturday was my baby shower - eat whatever - allowance night). I find it interesting that with just 1 time period its easier to get back on track then if I take a day or weekend (from past experience). So if you do make allowances for High Car Foods - GET BACK ON TRACK IMMEDIATELY.

2. Sleep - I did sleep 9 hours last night and I feel so much better today! I love sleep! I plan to sleep tonight!

3. Reading - Keep it up! I love taking time to read!

4. Fun - Sewing and crafting today - Even if its 15 minutes worth.

5. House Management - Get with Laundry, at least get the dirty - clean.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Great advice, Feelix, for getting back on track after a high carb meal, planned or otherwise. Do it immediately and no self recriminations.

It will be a busy day as I'm cooking for tonight's Bible Study (we take turns). Am making Texas hash and will take out my portion before I add in the rice. Also making a cucumber salad with tomatoes and onions-- all locally grown. Dessert will be a kind of ambrosia with orange sf jello, sf pudding mix, lc/no sugar fruits and sf coconut mixed in. It tastes good in my mind, so hope the reality will be as good as the fantasy.

Probably won't do any formal exercise today as just being on my feet cooking in this 100+ weather is enough exertion!

Have a great day, everyone.

10:45am 1/2 apple, 2Tbsp peanut butter
12:30 beef stroganoff, asparagus
3pm turkey pepperoni
6pm grilled chicken, with bacon/cheese on it, raw veggies
glass of red wine!!

Amy the weight drop is awesome! Are you still eating the upped calories? I find how the body works amazing! Thanks for your comment on my goals. I'm really trying to get a habit with the basics and simple pleasures in life. After that, everything is gravy!

Weather here is 85 degrees with 60% humidity. This is cool weather compared to last week.

Yes, and be ready for the cravings. It's easier to handle them if you expect them. ;) Thanks for starting us off this morning, Feelix. I'm scrambling at work (yet again). It's the end of the fiscal year.

My breakfast today was a shake and my lunch will be leftover beef and vegetables if I ever get to it. I'm starting to get hungry here.

Hi, all--

I started my SAT class this morning, so I was teaching from 8-12. The students were great, so the class was enjoyable. There's just a lot of material, so it's much more lecture than I prefer. Just can't do it any other way and get it all accomplished.

So now I'm working at the learning center until 4:00. Other than proctoring a test, all I'm doing is preparing my SAT PowerPoint slides for the second half of my class on Thursday and babysitting the center.

My weight is stuck again--not going anywhere at all for the last three weeks. I may need to do a couple of meat/veggie days--no wraps, no dairy, no grains. :( I've probably been overdoing the "extras," like not paying attention to how much onion is really on my burger, a spoon of this, taste of that, etc.

BC, that ambrosia sounds like something I make for my husband, but for him I don't make it SF. I haven't tried coconut in it, but it sounds good.

Feelix, you're right--back on plan immediately. Every meal off makes you want to stay off more.

Amy, hope the 2 pounds stays off. I hate it when it comes back!

Breakfast--none :o (got up too late); lunch--a wrap with salami and provolone; Midafternoon--two bites of cheese and a bit of pineapple; Supper--planning to eat a leftover hamburger.

Later...

Hi Ruth! Did you consider that you may not be eating enough protein? No veggies? A lc wrap probably doesn't do that much damage if you're not wheat sensitive, but if today was representative I don't see enough food. IMHO, of course! ;)

Agnes, do you remember that old movie "If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium? :D That's what just popped into my head. Glad you're on plan and keep up the little gifts to yourself. They actually help us cope, you know. Is Annie what you're spending your time on?

I forgot there was an Admin meeting today, so my lunch became a nice steak and a pile of very skinny green beans at a local restaurant. Plus, the rest of the afternoon off! I didn't realize it until well after I would normally have had my lunch, so I'm glad I was too busy to eat on time. I would have pouted!

Feelix, you are such an inspiration! I'm glad you're getting enough sleep. That makes it or breaks it in my book.

Is your passport wallet going to be constructed in a fabric? I used to work with leather, years ago, and made things like that.

yup! I made it out of home decor fabric. For first draft, it turned out ok, but needs some remeasuring. :-) Its functional though! I made matching luggage tags from the scraps. :-)
