raked a small section of the yard and finished laying weed n feed, mowed the back yard.

Carol...yikes! I hope you feel better soon!
I went to the gym...the down pour of rain wasn't going to stop me. I took a total conditioning class which involves cardio and a full body workout with bands and barbells.

Hope you feel much better, Carol :)!
I cannot believe it is already Wednesday and that's my first report of the week... Shame on me! I keep on M&S in my corner but it makes really good to get some encouragement or/and whipping when it is necessary.
Monday - 'Cardio Only' 23 min (it was tiring!)
Tuesday - stationary bike HIIT (20 min) + callanetics countdown legs (15 min)
Wednesday - Tamilee's Arms (15 min) + abs (10 min)
See you around!

Carol - I hope you soon feel better!!! Until then, rest until you feel well again :).
Adina - Glad to see you finally :D! Way to go on those workouts!
Now, it's Wednesday and we've yet to hear from quite a few of you ! Where is everyone hiding?????
I have given myself permission to slack today...if needed. I'm very busy, and it's okay to take a day off now and then...right?
Doesn't mean I won't do something, just gave myself PERMISSION to slack incase I run out of time.

From someone who just overslept this morning for the first time in more than 10 years, I had to cut myself some slack today :o.... so I think you deserve some too  ;)!

Sometimes it's pretty amazing what we can get done when we give ourselves some leeway rather than forcing issues ;).

Okay, guys, I made up my missed day of exercise so my 5 days are done.
Am I making anyone feel guilty yet ;)?????
NOW does anyone have any workouts to report  :p?????
It IS awfully quiet over here isn't it??
Sunday: 1 hr yard work (mowing and raking)
Monday: 20 min on rowing machine (3000 meters)
Tuesday: 20 min on rowing machine (3260 meters)
Wednesday: nothing - break day
Thursday:
Friday:
I know I can't squeeze in the gym today, but I'm hoping for a walk...even if it's a brisk 1/2mile, it'd be better than nothing, right??

Hi guys!
I haven't been slacking too much, I've just been busy. I mowed 1 1/2 yards yesterday by myself. (I usually have help.) It was over 90 degrees with over 70% humidity - but, the yards were a jungle. I'm very tired and wore out today. I hope to get the last backyard mowed today.
I put on 2 pounds but, I believe it is from all the fluids I've consumed. I won't worry too much about it. Today is suppose to be our last day of 90 degrees with high humidity. It will be in the 70's for a while.:)
I still haven't sowed my flower seeds yet. They are getting a late start.
Carol, hope you nurse that sickness right out of yourself. IOW, get better real soon!!!!!!

Hi guys!
Hi yourself :D!

The heat always wears me out too, Sharon :(! There was a time I thrived in it - but that was before menopause !

Between the liquids and the heat, I think that's a wise decision ;).

I ran 6 miles on the treadmill tonight.

ah...but not as much as running SIX MILES!!!
Way to go Lizi!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy - Six miles is more than I'd want to do, that's for sure :p. But then again, if you loved cardio as much as Lizi, you'd happily do 6 miles too !
JK, Lizi :)! Great job! Now how about following up with some resistance ;)? You surely knew THAT was coming ....

Thanks. But, Amy, you exercise consistently. It doesn't matter so much what is done...it matters that it (exercising) is done. And you DO it! :D I've NEVER even touched a rowing machine but you do that and you seem to enjoy it. My point is that you ARE Ming & Sing on a regular basis and that's what counts!
You get cardio in as well as resistance!
Sunday: 1 hr yard work (mowing and raking)
Monday: 20 min on rowing machine (3000 meters)
Tuesday: 20 min on rowing machine (3260 meters)
Wednesday: nothing - break day
Thursday: 20 minute brisk walk (it's all I could squeeze in)
Friday: 20 min on rowing machine (3365 meters)

Ahhhh..yes. Shadow you know me too well!
My plan is to do resistance tomorrow after the closing ceremony for teeball. Although DS#2 (in teeball) is out of town, I still have to show since I'm the team mom. I also have to present to the coaches the gifts from the team. I'll probably get some running in, too!;)

Amy - I definitely second what Lizi said !

I went to the "Y" today to get my hip back in place in the pool. It worked.:D The pool had about 40 - 50 kids in it because the splash park was closed.:( I got splashed in the face so many times I stopped counting.:frown: At least I got some exercise in and feel a whole lot better. Afterwards, I went shopping and got 2 new pairs of shorts. I hope they fit - I bought mediums.;)
Ground beef was on sale - so I got over 10 lbs. for the freezer. It needs repackaged and some pattied, so I'll have to do that shortly. I got some lc tortillas - I hope they taste better than the last ones. I have yet to find a brand I really like. I also miss eating crunchy corn taco shells. I miss a lot of crunch right now!:(
Still raining here. It is suppose to be really great weather next week. Great time for air conditioner to go out! I hope we get it fixed soon. Finally the ac in the vehicle got fixed. It's always something!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

I'm here! I'm feeling better and just in the coughing stage now. I spent the night in my recliner because I couldn't stop coughing laying down flat. I haven't been back to the gym yet, but today I followed a four-year-old on a bike several times around our neighborhood park. He wanted me nearby and there were enough water hazards and hills that I put on some steady walking for about an hour. I am proud to say that after all that, I'm still walking well, so that's progress.
Music camping tomorrow, which will also be mucho walking. The main jam tent is on one end of the campground and the facilities are on the other. Uphill...

(Head hanging down in shame). :o I must confess this has been pretty much a lost week for me exercise-wise. Was on the Gazelle Monday, off on purpose Tuesday, sick as a dog Wednesday (reaction to meds), and haven't been back on since. I keep telling myself it's just too hot to exercise, but that's only an excuse. Yes, it is hot, but a wet T-shirt and a fan goes a long way to cooling me down when I'm on the Gazelle.
But, as soon as I log off I am going to get at least 15 minutes in. :) On the up-side, I have worked outside for about an hour each morning -- mowing, trimming, cutting brush and such. But it isn't sustained, and it certainly isn't resistence.

Sharon - We are, sadly, missing quite a few these days :(. But all we can do is keep plugging along and hope our winning personalities draw the lost ones back into the group ;).
Carol - Way to go on that wonderful progress :D!
Brigit-Carol - Well, this week may not have been a good one - but now you have a new week to do better .

LOL.
Today, I did get in 30 min of a core class (does this count at all in your eyes?) and then ran for 3 miles then did ellip for 50 min.
Oh before my core class tonight, and I saw the personal trainer who has been working with me. I told him that I bought running shoes right after I met with him to determine my heart rate zones. I had told him that the shoes that I've been running in are 1/2 size too small  (one foot is larger than the other) and that's why my big toe hurt on my larger foot after a run...because it kept on rubbing up against the front of my shoe.
Okay so I'm slowly discovering things about myself as I'm running more often. Things like I've been buying the wrong size of shoes for WHO knows how long!
