Are all the wacky people busy today?

I don't have any jokes (other than the contractor hasn't shown up yet to start on my living room after I worked half the night emptying it out, etc.....).

Breakfast was a brat and coffee. Lunch was more of the same. Not a great plan, but I'll do better at dinner. I promise!

I've spent most of the day getting my new computer set up. I had to do the same thing last week because my laptop and my desktop died within a couple of days of one another :(. There really should be some easier way to do this.

I've decided I've had enough of that for today, and it's time to have a break for an hour before dinner (which will be chicken breasts stuffed with mozzarella, with some vegetable, but I'm not quite sure what yet).

Hi all, well I got a better report on my potassium level so I was very relieved to hear that !! They want another blood test done in about 2 weeks so we will be sure it is okay. It is not supposed to go over 5 and I am still at 5.2 but it was as high as 6 so I am really, really glad it has fallen. I talked to the pharmacist yesterday and he said it usually takes a while for that bp med to clear the system so I am hoping it was only the bp med. This is the second one that has given me problems--no wonder I want to get off as much of the stuff as I can !! I am currently down to 10 mg of norvasc and my bp is doing fairly well. I got off my meditation and breathing exercises while at the trail ride and need to get back on that again.

If I can find a wacky joke anywhere I will post it, but I usually don't have much luck.

See everyone later.

Welcome to my "Stay-cation"...where I'm on vacation, but mostly staying home. We are going away for the weekend, but for the most part, we've been home this week, and we'll be home Monday.
It's fine, but the meals aren't planned and therefore not the best meals I could choose. PLUS, whenever I do WORK (like mow and weed-wack the yard) I get SUPER angry because I'M ON VACATION!!!

Not sure I'll do this "staycation" again! Always too many chores to do!

The siding will get done in a month...the siding we're getting "free" from the insurance company. The guy was over today to work on last minute decisions and I asked him about Hugo, the metro town where we had the F3 tornado, and he said he was on his way there next...bet most of the homes that are still standing will need siding or roof repair!

Anyway, I'm sitting in the coffee shop playing with my laptop. I had to leave the house cause I was so CRABBY!!! Needed to get out and feel like I'm actually on vacation...it's working!

I'll search for more wacky!

Good jokes, Ammy !! Thank goodness someone got some wackiness on the board before Wednesday was over.

I've experienced several "staycations" in my life and they aren't all that cool are they!! Cute name for it tho.

Take care and see ya all tomorrow.

I'm late for the party today, it seems. My second day of vacation (I think this whole summer will be a "staycation"), and I spent the whole day running--to the dentist to get my permanent crown, to the weight loss doc (down 3 pounds), to several stores, to church--you get the picture.

Amy, enjoy yourself. Aren't laptops wonderful?

Mitra--I HATE setting up new computers, but they're good once you get them all organized.

Karole--glad the meds are cooperating for now!

We haven't actually discussed NOT going, but we haven't been to the cabin yet.

Dinner was roast beef and a pile of broccoli. Unfortunately, I had to taste the potatoes I made for the guys. Dang!

Hi, Carol--I forgot you--and you started the thread!

Did the contractor ever show up?

:) He did, and with the Geezer, did seven hours work in just three hours. Not bad, because we pay him by the hour! He's a very pleasant, laid back guy and he does primo work. Pays attention to detail. The walls and ceiling are GONE. It's so exciting!
