There aren't usually many of us around on the weekends, so I thought I'd put Saturday and Sunday together!

Good morning PP'ers!!!!!!!

It's 7:45 and I'm up and awake. GF is heading down to the hardward store when the open at 8am to rent the tiller so we can level the ground where we're laying the patio. I don't want to actually use it before 9am, but it's Mem day weekend and we're afraid they're rent out quickly, so we'll get it right away. While she's getting that, I'll be making breakfast...eggs, chicken, mushrooms, cheese, lc toast.

So,if all goes well, the patio area should be prepped before the end of the day, and possibly laid????? I don't have any idea how long this should take, but so far everything it going very quickly!

Question about the fish oil...does anyone else who takes it experience...um...:o...painful...um...:o...er...ga s??:o:o:o

Ammy,

Thanks for the info last week on the oj. Great tips.

I take omega 3 pills, but don't have flatus (gas). It is the sugar alcohols that give me trouble.

Catching up today, usual chores.

No time during the week as job is still stressful & ot is daily from 1-2 hours.

We are going to enjoy this 3 day weekend. Got to go purchase a new microwave as ours died, also , a garage door opener which we haven't had in the new house.

Planned meals today. Scale not too friendly this week, up 4lbs. from last.
I think it is the emotional stress I am under & the one day I feel off the wagon. Sometimes, I think I am the only one who posts on this forum that "falls off" the plan.... everybody else seems to have a secret for staying on track....oh well.

Have a great weekend all.

Good morning, Amy! Fish oil (1 tbs/day) does not do that to me. DH takes capsules (cheap grocery store) and has never mentioned it either. Is that the only thing you changed?

Hope you're having as nice a day as we are over here. I went out for breakfast with mom and sis and about twenty cyclists rode up for refreshment. They were midpoint of a forty-mile ride. Made me want to take out my bike and check the tires, but I've got senior pics to process first.

Not true, Claudette. Many posters express frustration regularly. That's what I like about this board. You can be honest here because we listen and offer good advice when you don't feel family and friends understand.

I try to post when I've eaten non-plan food. Like today at breakfast, the fritatta came with hash browns under it and I ate some (but not all ). I have no resistance to them, and I've said that before. I told them no toast, but I let them bring the potatoes. :p Now I'm going to have to be responsible if they raised my blood sugar. :( That darned meter just can't be bargained with!

I have a friend who has a rare disorder and is on massive steroids. She buys supplements that help her condition and was telling me about how wonderful the were. She insisted on sending me some dark chocolate candy and some shake powder to try. The candy is on a par with Lindt, but it's full of supplements that I'm not sure of. The powder is also mostly supplements, but the carb count is 28 grams per serving! I tried to tell her that I counted carbs, but she wasn't listening. I'll give the powder back the next time I see her. It's expensive stuff.

Oh, and I had a laugh yesterday. DH and I were talking about Monsanto and their plan to genetically manipulate grains and he said, "Ah, Frankenfood!" I was so proud of him! :D

See y'all later; it looks like I'll be home all weekend.

Amy, it sounds like you'll have a very busy weekend. You might get it done in one day - but, don't count on it. You might end up finishing on Sunday. Good luck!

Claudette -- I am having the hardest time right now, too. After so much progress. I'm totally out of control and sad and crazy and guilty all in one. You are not the only one!

I think some of us are too proud or embarrassed to:o post when we slipped up. Especially big time slip up. So, I commend you for your honesty. I know that I have been on pp for a while and when I shake things up sometimes I actually lose some weight.

I wish a gread weekend also!

Claudette--

We all slip up from time to time, and I think most of us are honest about it when we do. If we could all do this perfectly without support, there'd be no reason to have this board.

I have two more days of craziness before I settle into summer. Today I need to get the house cleaned for company tomorrow night. We're having a college ministry team at our church and two of them are staying at our house. Tonight is our senior graduation. Tomorrow afternoon is a graduation party before we head back to church tomorrow night. Then it's out to eat with the college group and back to our house. Then Monday we have another graduation party and a dinner out for a friend's birthday. Tuesday will be my day!

With all of this activity come many eating situations I can't really plan for. I think my best strategy is to get protein in ahead of the occasions so I can then graze on anything that's PP-friendly. If I'm ahead of the game on protein, I shouldn't be so hungry that I'll eat everything, including the plates!

Amy, sounds like your day is chock full of activity as well. BTW, I take Carlson's fish oil capsules and don't have any intestinal issues with them. For me, it's the sugar alcohols I can't tolerate.

Carol--home all weekend...sounds like bliss to me!

Peachy, hang in there. Maybe a couple of days of back to basics (meat/veggies) would get you back on track.

Claudette and Peachy, hang in there! We all have bad days. You can't do anything about what you've already eaten; let it go. Get back on plan with the next thing you eat.

Doing well today; nothing exciting on the menu, but that works for me. Hubby teased me this morning because I made a cheese omelette and bacon for breakfast. "You're eating all that FAT! You're gonna DIE!!!!!!!!"

Heh. ;) He's lost 15 pounds doing PP with me and is already in maintenance because he doesn't want to lose any more. Lookin' gooooood! :)

ETA: Forgot to mention...Amy, I take Iceland Health Maximum Strength Omega 3 capsules and the only problem I have is I get one mildly fishy burp about half an hour after I take them.

hello all!
Thanks for the comments to my embarrassing issue. It happened last night, and I was IN PAIN!! And the only thing I could think of was the fish oil tablets...but NO PAIN today! WOOHOO!

so, we started the patio at 8am (that's when the tiller arrived) and we FINISHED at 9:30pm!!! WOOHOO!!!!
I'm THRILLED we're done because it's already starting to thunder! We're expecting thunderstorms all day tomorrow!! Then Monday we'll check to see if any spots are uneven! It looks REALLY good and we're REALLY happy with it! We finished our evening drinking a beer on our patio!! How nice.

Oh...I caved to the sandwich...I was STARVING!! I really think I burned off everything I ate. Oh, I also had a cherry filled croissant. Fantastic!
Oh, I mean, bad for me...but it tasted fantastic! Could have been extreme hunger !

Anyway, we have some movies from the library for tomorrow so we can sit around and recover from our work today. My hands already hurt and I predict my shoulders and hips will hurt tomorrow. But tonight, 4 ibuprofen and a big glass of water and I KNOW I'll sleep like a BABY!

Have a good night all!

Good morning everybody :). It's dull and wet here today :(. My plans are to go to church, and finish off the homework for the yoga course I'm doing (I'm seeing my teacher in the week and need to hand it in). Somewhere along the way, I need to work out what we're going to eat, too.

I'm up, and I can actually MOVE today! Don't get me wrong...I'm SORE...but I'm moving.
It's rainy here as well Mitra. It's suppose to thunderstorms all day today and I hope it does! Not only do I love sitting inside listening to storms, the new patio could use a good washing, and there is a plot that I need to weed and feed and before I apply it, it needs a good soaking...
so bring on the rain!!!

I've had some cottage cheese and no carb crackers this morning, but other than than I have no idea what I'm eating today.
I am planning on trying my low carb margarita mix this weekend!! Mmmmmmm!!!

I'll check in later, hope you all are doing well!

so, we started the patio at 8am (that's when the tiller arrived) and we FINISHED at 9:30pm!!! Great going, Amy! And you beat the rain!

Is today going to be an ibu and hot bath day, or are you ambulatory? ;) Oops, just saw your latest post. The resiliency of youth!

I'm having a leisurely breakfast of eggs and bacon. Plan to put a beef roast in the oven when I'm done here. I've got a head of broccoli and a bunch of asparagus to use up somehow.

I'm in a good mood today because my knee pain is still low for the third day in a row. I hope it's a trend! I actually spent an hour on my feet in the kitchen, which would normally send me staggering for my chair. I could get used to this! :) I feel my energy coming back.

Glad you are not faring too badly today, Ammy.
Maybe the sandwich & crosisant won't stick or like you said, you burned them off.

It is sunny here and the heat is starting, 90 something today.

I feel better today, scale says I have lost 2lbs I had gained, which pleases me no end.

Plans: resting today, new garage door opener bought, will be installed this week.

Exercise: 40 min cardio, toning today. Meals planned. Back on track.

Have a great weekend all.

Amy, that's a lot of hard work. I wouldn't worry about anything you ate!!! It's all burned up and more.

I bought a pork roast last night. I plan on doing something with that today. It should last quite a few meals. I'm running so late today. We were out last night at the stores until 1:00 a.m. I feel all messed up and tired.:o

It is such a beautiful day.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

I'm having a little fight or something with my husband. We don't really fight, he just tells me what he thinks and walks away. It's so frustrating. I'm all bottled up and feel like I'm about to explode.

Then I went outside to do a little gardening and then it started to rain. This is just not my day.

Ammy

He should at least listen to what YOU have to say as well. However, tell him he needs to hear YOU as well when you're NOT fighting, otherwise he won't hear what you have to say!!

Hope things get better!!
