View Full Version : FUN Friday! May 23
It's the Friday before a holiday weekend! Are you going to be able to FOCUS today on work (if you work) and get done and get OUT so you can start to enjoy your time off? I HOPE to!!
My meals are planned and packed, and VERY high on protein. I have too much food here at work, so I'm trying to eat it up. But the food I have is all protein, and nothing else, so my numbers look pretty skewed!!
8am 2eggs, 2oz taco meat, 1/2c oj, 1lc toast, s. cream
12pm up to two hamburger patties, 2bran crackers, 2laughing cow cheese
3pm 3oz fish, iced latte
6pm chicken breast, buttered noodles, red wine!

Hello, Amy. It's a holiday on Monday here too. We don't have any special plans, just enjoying an extra day of weekend :). We're going away for a couple of days in June, to a place on the coast (North Somerset, called Porlock Weir).
My meals aren't looking too well planned at the moment, either. There's lots of food in the house, but too often, I find myself standing in the kitchen at about the time we should be eating, just looking round wondering what to do .

Fun Friday! Humph!? I don't know how fun it will be but- it will definitely be a full Friday! So, much to get done today. Meals are not planned - as usual, But, plenty of good food to pick from. Mitra, it seems I've been doing a lot of that lately. Stare into the fridge or freezer with a blank stare while releasing all the coldness into the air.:o:rolleyes:
Blairlane - congrats on the loss!!!!!!!!! It is so nice to get a great start and feel envigorated about those high numbers peeling off your body!!! Keep up the good work!
Sharon
CONGRATS Blairlane!!! you SHOULD be excited about that!!!!!!!!
WOOHOO!!!!
Sharon, good luck getting things done so you have some down time in your full day!!
Mitra, going to the coast sounds like FUN! I too have a habit of staring at the fridge, then I go straight to the carbs...I haven't learned the art of 'not plannin' and actually stayin ON PLAN!
I will be off for the week and am TERRIBLE at planning meals when not working. It will be interesting to say the least, but I'll have my laptop and try and stay connected so I don't get too far off track after today! My biggest issue is that we work hard, then get hungry FAST. My GF's response is to run down the street to this FANTASTIC sandwhich shop for sandwiches...on yummy full-carb bread.... It's hard for me to eat something else when she is eating that so I usually cave. darn it...

It's the Friday before a holiday weekend! Are you going to be able to FOCUS today ...? Focusing well, thank you! My weekend looks like I'm going to be packing lots of books in boxes and trying to find places to put furniture because the contractor said he's ready to demo our living room on Tuesday or Wednesday. :( So much for getting away with DH! Oh, and he's not worried because we can get it done "in three hours flat"!
...but too often, I find myself standing in the kitchen at about the time we should be eating, just looking round wondering what to do . I was doing that just last evening. Then I got a phone call and I actually forgot about dinner. Luckily, I had some leftovers to make a quick meal. :o

I would be too! Congratulations, Blair! :D
Hi to you too, Sharon! :)
The boss is out of the office today, giving me time to do some archiving and sorting and filing. Kinda peaceful! Gives me time to plan.

Congratulations, Blair! :D
Amy, what if, while GF runs down to that sandwich shop whose bread is really not as good as you think it is ;), you pull out some spinach or lettuce and veggies and put it on a plate. When she comes back with your sandwich, open it up, dump the insides on your salad and pitch the bread? Or feed the birds?

Did well today. Got to move the ticker .5lb. :)

Hey, all--
Reporting in--one tired teacher who has just survived the last day of school AND kindergarten graduation tonight. It's been quite a week--I haven't even checked e-mail this week--or worse yet, my checking account! So I guess now it's back to cyberspace for me to get everything caught up.
Food's been okay. I'm just too tired to do much besides eat by rote--sausage for breakfast, salad for lunch, some kind of meat for supper.
It's a bit quiet on the board, it seems. Maybe a lot of people had a week like mine :)
Tomorrow...

I just wanted to report that I have reached one of my goals today. I am under 150!!!!!! It feels sooooo good and such a milestone. Just a little more to go and I'll have reached my goal.!!!!! It sounds like such a small amount left to lose - 19 lbs. But, I think that they will really make a big difference in my looks. Because when I look in the mirror I still see the same person who weighed 175 lbs.:(:o I know the weight is gone but, it just isn't too noticeaable. I just hope it doesn't take another 6 months to get it off.
I hope you all are enjoying the weekend.
Sharon
Sharon,
I have been trying to lose my last 19lbs for YEARS! I suppose the occasionally piece of cake and popcorn doesn't help !!
I KNOW you'll get there sooner!! I KNOW you will!!:nod::nod:

Congratulations on getting below 150, Sharon :D. I'm sure you'll notice a difference with the remaining pounds, but sometimes it takes longer for what you see in the mirror to catch up with what everybody else sees, so don't be too hard on yourself :).
