It's cool and a bit overcast here, but my new laptop has arrived :D. I'm just working through getting it set up and installing all my software.

The computer only died a couple of days ago. Now that Gaelen's back, I'll see if I can focus a bit more on talking to you all ;). It's not so much that the admin stuff took too much time, more that it seems to shift your attention to the mechanics of the board rather than the content, if that makes any sense.
That makes complete sense!
Glad Gaelen is back (and better?!) and glad the new laptop has arrived!!!!!

Yes it does make sense Mitra! I appreciate all that you ALL do for us here..and I understand! I miss each and every personality when it's apparent they aren't around. But all is understandable.

Hi, everyone--
We're in the midst of finals, and I worked nonstop yesterday from 8-3:45 clearing my desk and writing a final for today. Ran to a haircut, back to make bacon-mushroom soup for my husband, off to teach my SAT class, and finally collapsed at 9:30.
I've finally organized my desk today. I still have today's tests to grade and a set of essays to do, so I need to get busy. But the kids are gone, so it's just me and my stack of papers.
Just thought I would check in--no, I didn't drop off the earth or, worse yet, drop off the plan. Food is fine, just busy.
Talk to y'all later.

Good afternoon! We're on our last week of lessons and Friday cannot get here soon enough! I think we're all itching to start walking the trails in the mornings.
I started back on PP on Saturday and while the first several days were rough, I'm feeling more "stable" blood sugar wise. My energy levels are still low but if I remember right, that should pick up soon.
Walked a mile today and plan to do some crunches and pushups tonight while watching TV with DH. Normally I would have gotten more like 3 miles in but like I said, I've felt really low on energy so I'm doing what I can.

It was hot (89) here in Oklahoma, but great for grilling steaks outside! We also had asparagus with a low-carb cheese sauce and blueberries with cream for dessert. I LOVE this way of eating!!!!
I am still reading the book, Protein Power, and have the Protein Power Lifeplan ordered and on its way. I am also reading The Slow Burn Revolution and will do my first workout this Friday. I'll be off work on Friday since I have to work on Monday (Memorial Day).
I am really enjoying reading everyone's posts and will be glad to get you all straightened out in my mind so I can feel like I know you individually! THANKS to all of you for being here!

Amy, we had a gorgeous day too, but a bit chilly. It did finally get up to 60F by afternoon.
Ruth, it'll be over soon. I literally did not have enough time to stop in and post at lunch time! I consider it a successful day because my mind stayed sharp through it all. ;) I've got so many foggy teachers stumbling around! I don't know how they can teach and still jump through all the hoops at the end of the school year.
Hi also to Blair and Alicia. :) I'm glad you joined us.
Missy, I can't believe you got a day off!
Mitra, thank you for keeping us operational during Gaelen's absence.
Breakfast was a sausage patty and coffee, lunch was meatloaf and broccoli, lunch2 was another sausage patty around 3:30 and a cup of herb tea. After workout snack/meal was a ricotta peach smoothie with the supps. I don't really know if I'll need any more tonight or not. I'm going to try and stop drinking coffee, especially in the morning. Still experiencing some dawn phenomenon and trying to tweak the diet to minimize it. The rest of the day seems normal as far as blood sugar goes. It even gets a little low.
I hope everyone has a good evening!
