Hi there - I love the PP breakfast smoothies - however - I have a pretty bad dairy allergy. Any suggestions on how to substitute cottage cheese & yogurt? I was thinking tofu. Thanks.

Are you thinking in addition to protein powder or instead of? Coconut milk or almond milk comes to mind, but you'd have to find a way to thicken it. I usually put in frozen strawberries. I don't think my machine could handle ice.

You can always just use a non-dairy protein powder, in place of the cottage cheese or yogurt. Some options would be: egg protein concentrate, brown rice protein concentrate, golden pea protein concentrate, hemp protein concentrate or soy protein isolate.

Are you allergic to goat's milk as well? If not, you can also find goat's milk yogurt and goat's milk protein at some health food stores (or on the 'net).

Thank you so much! I will find one of the concentrates suggested to replace the cottage cheese & yogurt. I am not sure if I have a goat's milk allergy. One of these should do the trick.
