Hey all!
I've been around here for quite awhile today and am tired of chatting on old threads. So, I guess I'll start a new one for today. :D Sunny here, a little chillier (60's) than the last few days that were in the 70's & 80's. But, any day the sun is shining should and will be a great day!!
I have meals planned for today. Lots of things to do. Will be frying bacon for the whole week so, I don't have to dirty the stove so many times. Just a job I don't like real well. I guess if you like bacon (like we do) it's just a necessary evil.
I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful weekend. Make the most of it - tomorrow is back to the grind.

Thanks for starting today's thread. We all must be a little sleepy on Sunday mornings.
My meals are not even thought of yet today. I'm going to try to go without protein powder this week so I can afford a pair of capris. The weather has turned though. It's supposed to be chilly all week. Doesn't matter much to me. I finally got some money together -- so off I go. I'm probably going to buy everything in a 12 - not a ten -- so that they fit in the waist and I can wear t-shirts. Loose on the leg isn't so bad in hot weather anyway.
The good news is that I'm beginning to care how I look. I've been doing my nails, buying new skincare and makeup, and am about to cut my hair into a sylish 'do. I might not be losing as fast as I would like to, but I am feeling better about myself. That's a step in the right direction.

Hey, Sharon, glad you started this thread.
I love bacon also, but have switched to the pre-cooked microwave kind you cook in seconds.
After you've cooked your bacon, do you freeze it for the whole week, then thaw to eat? Your plan sounds like a winner, I am going to try it.
Peachy, feeling good about yourself is a step in the right direction for sure. I had my hair done last week, new cut, style, etc. Made me feel great. I am sure the new capri's will look fabulous.
Feeling better today from cold of last week.
Cooler and rainy here, inside day doing stuff around the house I let go last week.
Planning menus for this week.
Have a happy Sunday all.

Good morning Ladies! (no guys around yet right? :paranoid:
WA State here. Still overcast but hopefully no rain today as we are going to see the Mariner's today. :D I just made a menue draft for the entire week so that i at least have an idea what to fix and hopefully this will avoid the "holy crap what I am going to fix tonite" while driving home from work moments.. I am cooking sausage as I type this and will fry up some eggs. I know some folks are not so cool with shopping at Walmart but I found an all natural breakfast sausage from FARMLAND, no addititives at all and very very affordable. I am baking a turkey breast today so because I am focusing more and more and not eating processed meats that much any more due to high salt and addititves. I also discovered that i like raw red bell peppers  (one of those moments). instead of posting my food, feel free to check out my fitday which is more accurate then pre=posting my food here as sometimes the day changes (like yesterday) and I have adjust my food.
I am going to bake a LC cheesecake for my co-worker today whos birthday is tomorrow. she got me started on PP and she has been following PP for many years. Ok, that is all from me today. Have a great Sunday!!!:)

Peachy, I am so proud of you!!!! Doesn't it feel good to finally feel good enough about yourself to care. I know I have went a long time without really taking a good look at myself and seeing what others see. I went out and bought some Bare Escentuals makeup (with my DH's encouragement). In fact, he's the one who showed me the informercial and thought I would look good in it. What a difference a little paint makes!

I don't freeze it. It stays nice all week. I don't even reheat it. Just slip my fried eggs on top of it and they steam and warm the bacon. I do package each individual package of fried bacon in ziplocs. I don't know why - just do it that way.

Oh, Anette, Turkey breast sounds so good right now. I'd love to have some with a slice of tomato, lettuce, and a little miracle whip!! Yum!!! I bet your house smells good too!!

Good Morning girls! :D
I'm up and about still cleaning and organizing and preparing for my next wild week with events and company and it feels GREAT!! :D I love this time of the year!
I'm getting my painting studio area all soooo wonderfully organized. Like never before!
I usually fix my bacon by laying it out on a corelle platter with two paper towels on the bottom a layer of bacon, another paper towel, more bacon, and so on..I do about three layers at a time and then microwave it for 8 or more minutes (depending how done you like it or how thick it is) and then it comes out nice, and I don't have to stand there and get spit on with grease..and the paper towels absorb all the grease that I just toss. It's HOT coming out of the microwave, so use pot holders...but the mess isn't much...and the bacon comes out flat and crispy. Becareful though, and check on it till your used to cooking it this way...because you can burn it! YUCK! I'm sure you could cook it up that way and refrigerate it. Problem is here...it wouldn't LAST that long!

It rained all day here. Really yucky. Makes you just want to go back to bed and pull the covers up over your head.
I have a special microwave bacon plate with ridges in it. That way the grease drains away while it cooks. Very convenient. I use it all the time.

Hi y'all! I've been having a lazy weekend. Went to buy groceries with DH today after church and walking around on the cement floor for an hour had me limping. Did some reading, took about an hour nap :paranoid: and watched an hour of the Naked Archeologist. He's very interesting.
I am always looking for a fast way to cook bacon without too much cleanup. I've used the microwave, the foreman grill, the oven (good results) but since I often need it cut into pieces, I take the whole pound of thick bacon, cut it up raw and fry it up in my soup kettle. Minimal splashes and nice, evenly cooked bacon pieces for omelets or salads or munching.
We had a nice sunny day with none of the strong winds that chilled everything yesterday.

Happy Sunday! Sounds like everyone is having a great weekend, and doing lots of cooking & planning ahead.
This was a good weekend on the food front for me, in spite of being super busy. Friday night I got stuck with McDonalds as my best choice - so a quarter pounder (meat only) and a side salad worked. Then Sat morning I ended up at a casino brunch buffet (part of a car club road trip) and had a big ol' omelet with a side of strawberries. Strawberries are great dipped in sour cream!
Speaking of the road trip - DH got a MINI convertible for Christmas. Yes, he's spoiled! Saturday was a beautiful day so we joined the Puget Sound MINI club for a group road trip - top down, great back roads and views, and a lot of fun. (This was before I hurt my knee.)
Today is rainy and lazy. Corned beef hash (made w/ meat, mushrooms, red peppers and a little bit of diced onions) and poached eggs for breakfast; sardines, cream cheese & rye krisp for light lunch; and we have a fresh ham on the smoker (plus cauliflower & salad) for dinner and sliced leftovers for the week.
I hope everyone else has a great day!
