Yes, I know, it's Tax Day Tuesday, but that would've been too predictable, right?
My first time starting the daily challenge thread! We'll see if someone beats me to it while I type. ;)
Tasty Tuesday: what will you be eating today that's truly tasty? One of the things that I love about PP is that there is no need for boring or bland food. No need for hollowed out fat free foods. Eat the real food, not the imitation. YUM.
Breakfast was tasty today. I found a LC recipe online for waffles last night and made them this morning. Topped them with fresh strawberry sauce and whipped cream. Very eggy and satisfying.
I went grocery shopping last night, so I have a refrigerator full of food. Still don't know what I'm making for lunch and dinner though.
A workout is planned for any minute now, so I am in my sweats, but I plan to pull out my size 10 jeans and try them on later. I lost another .5 pound today; down to 149. My size 12 jeans are baggy. W00T! I'll report back later to let you know how it goes.
Have a great day today, and enjoy your food! :D

Hello, Tresses. Thanks for getting us started.
My food hasn't been especially interesting so far - a kefir smoothie for breakfast and smoked salmon with cream cheese for a quick, late lunch because I'd been out all morning. We're eating out tonight, so I don't know what I'll be having, but it's a place we go to regularly, so I know there'll be something good.

Boy I am hungry hungry hungry today. I must be on the cusp of losing because my body is telling me to refuel. I always get the worst cravings just before the scale loves me.
B: protein shake
L: omelette
D: chicken and veges
Pretty boring day food wise. No wonder I'm so dissatisfied. Maybe I'll sneek in an apple with peanut butter. It's one of my favorite treats!:)

Good day!
I saw a story on, I believe, it was Rachel Rays daily show about a Mom who was concerned what her kids were eating for lunch at school..and it was pizza, fries and some sort of fruit bar or fruit drink? Anyways that bothered her so she decided to introduce "Taste It Tuesdays"...where she was allowed to bring around different fruits or different food choices that the kids hadn't been exposed too. Like one tuesday it was Mango's and she brought the tray around for the kids to sample. I thought it was brilliant.
huuh...I'm linking you all to that segment, but it's not currently posting the whole thing yet...saying it's 'not aired' yet....It has in MY area for the day! lol

I think it's a terrific idea to expose kids to all sorts of things and make it a 'fun' experience. Otherwise, in today's age, how many kids have any idea? I like the idea and I think I should incorporate that spirit into my week somehow.

Ate lunch. Still hungry.
 I get spells like that, too - and they're usually when my weight goes down. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hello! I'm eating in bits and bats today in case my system doesn't particularly want too much.
Hoping for you, Peachy. It's bound to drop sooner or later!
Tresses, you're on a roll!
Hi, Missy and Mitra. :)
Breakfast was a protein shake with fruit and ricotta. Lunch has been ongoing for a couple of hours. First almonds, now some pepperoni. So far, so good.

They fit! They fit! My size 10 jeans fit!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/Tresses/emoticons/happy093.gif
They're a little snug. (God bless the inventor of spandex.) But they fit!

That is all.
Yeah Tresses!!
My work computer crashed this morning, right after I logged on.
I had been complaining that I was saving HR stuff on my hard drive but had no way to back it up...well...darn it all to heck...it's all gone now. The hard drive was so broken, there was just no saving it, and my IT guy is GOOD...
darn it.
So I finally get a new computer and I'm up and running, and the first thing my boss does is ask me an HR question that I can't answer because my files are all gone ...
Well, he's just going to have to wait while I recreate them!! And Mr IT guy has already gotten an earful about what I had been saying SINCE I STARTED WORKING HERE TWO YEARS AGO that I need to be able to back up my hard drive. I couldn't even burn stuff onto a disk because I didn't have the burner software!!! And the funny thing is...we're a computer company!!! ARGH!!!
Oh well, can't sit around her complaining...I have files to recreate....
Oh, food has been deplorable...

Size 10 jeans. Not in my wildest dreams.
I'm pretty sure salt and water retention had something to do with my weight gain. I hit every bathroom I could find today.
B: Dr. Atkin's version flan, sugar free latte with CC milk
L: 4 oz. lamb, zucchini/onion sautee mix
S: my own flan recipe experiment
D: left over wings, blue cheese/sour cream, cabbage sautee, glass of wine
I haven't reached flan nirvana yet but I think I'm getting close.
Pro: 88
ECC: 31
Fiber: 7
Fat: 144
Calories: 1870
I'm still over my calorie goal but better than I have been.

http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/8.gif Amy, you're justified!
I spent a half hour on the phone with my favorite tech while she zenned around in my computer. We had our printer replaced last week and there were some driver problems, but the symptoms looked like a terrible virus that was crashing all my software. Must be the weather!
http://bestsmileys.com/dancing/11.gif Tresses, you deserve a whoo hoo and Sherry will be by to dish it out.
Size 10 jeans. Not in my wildest dreams.
Mine either. One leg, maybe. In the waistband. :D
Feeling better today and I made it to the gym.
Dinner was beef and broccoli with some sour cream.

Amy, hope you made some progress in working on those files. I'm guilty of not backing up my hard drive at school, not because of software but because I forget :o. I've had to replace a lot of stuff that's been lost for one reason or another. But I'm sure it's particularly frustrating when you've been telling them . . .
In the "I told you so" department, I'm now faced with my dentist having to do a build-up and then a crown instead of just a crown (so much for saving the $$$ by not doing the stupid crown last summer!). He's been telling me for years that my tooth was going to break...I didn't think a blackberry would do it (the fruit, not the phone).
Today's food (not quite clean :():
Breakfast (in a rush)--protein bar
Lunch (in a rush)--flatbread sandwich (half the bread removed) and some popcorn chicken
Supper--nothing yet, but I'll have some roast beef when I get home and skip having any more carbs this evening
Congrats on the jeans, Tresses. I'm excited to just find some in the store that I can wear--don't know that 10's are ever in my future.
Carol, are you feeling better?
Peachy, hope the hunger is a sign of a big drop coming. :)
See y'all tomorrow.

I think the phone is lower carb and higher fiber, FWIW. :)
But probably murder on dental work.

Congrats Tresses on the size 10!!!!!!:D
Wonderful feeling!!!!
I was curious about what size I could get into as far as pants and jeans. I don't want to buy any until I have to. Which is getting close. My are very baggy and starting to get irritating from all the extra material. So, I picked up a few different sizes. (16, 14, 12,19) I thought to myself, self, you might as well start small, so on went the 10's. OMG!!!!!! They fit!!!!:D
I was thrilled, to say the least. I didn't buy them.:( But, I will need to get them for next month when we head for KY for a convention. Well, the other day, I found a pair of Sag Harbor black slacks on sale. I picked up a size 12 and tried them on and they were a real good fit!!!! I bought them and will keep all the tags on and not wear them until next month. I was so thrilled that I was able to go to a smaller size. It makes me feel good to know that even though the scale hasn't been moving - I've been getting smaller in size anyway. Yippeee!!!!!!
Move over Tresses, we're on our way!!!!!!!!
