As a newbie, I really didn't want to start another new thread, but I didn't know where else to put this.

Early this week I had a nasty stomach bug but the worst part of it was "what am I going to eat when I feel well enough to start eating again?"

For me, it is much easier to stay on plan than to deviate and try to get back on. But the thought of poached eggs or any sort of protein really was turning my stomach.

What do you guys do when your introducing food back into your system after being sick? The only thing I could think of would be chicken broth or chicken soup but I didn't have any in the house, except for bouillon cubes, but I am avoiding MSG so I didn't want that. I ended up toasting some LC bread and munching on that. When I finally felt well enough to eat real food I had a soft boiled egg.

I'm glad I didn't dive head first into crackers and ginger ale like I normally would have, but I realize now I need plan for next time. I searched online for suggestions and didn't find anything besides chicken broth... just wondering what has worked for you guys. Thanks!

Oh yeah, hot chicken broth in a mug. Once I can eat solids, it's scrambled eggs all the way for me. Then ground beef dishes once I'm okay with eggs. I stay away from: tomato dishes, dairy.

Hope you're feeling better!
