Good Morning Everyone!
I'm thinking today is going to be a great day! All I have to do is laundry. Everything else is a bonus.
My weight is back down after my big dinner Friday night. As a matter of fact it is the lowest it's been all week. Go figure.

Hi, Peach, glad to hear your scale treated you nicely !!
It's another rainy day here, and since it rained all night long I'm wondering if the creeks are going to get up again. Hope not, we had enough of that last time around.
I have a lot of things I need to run out to the camper still and sure would like some sunny or at least dry weather to do that in. My dining room table keeps piling up on me and I can no longer even see the top of it. (And that was my new years resolution--keep my table clutter free) oh well this is only temporary til the rain stops.
Any way, I am planning a good day of embroidering and some reading and I may just do a little special cooking too. That sounds like a winner.

Karole -- Your day sounds great! I hope the rain stops for you. It seems like this weather cycle just keeps pounding the same areas. It has been snowing here forever. I am really looking forward to the Spring.
I saw a yellow finch on my fountain in the garden. Spring is almost here!:)

Hi Everyone!
It is suppose to rain here later today - I sure wish it would just stay sunny! I am more tired of the rain - than snow!
Peachy, congrats on the weight. Isn't it great when it comes off fast after a little splurging!!!
Karole, I know what you mean about the table piling up. :D I have the same thing happen before I'm ready to leave on a trip. Thank goodness it all gets where it belongs before I leave! The worse thing is that it gets piled back up once I get back home!
Today, I'm planning on making some food for this coming week. I bought a ham (pork butt portion) - 99 cents a lb. I need to get that in the oven. The turkey I bought on sale (99 cents, also) is in the freezer. Two pork tenderloins ($1.99 lb.) need to get sliced and repackaged. Ground Chuck needs to get pattied ($2.58 lb.). Chicken breast were also 99 cents per lb. (will repackage those - 2 per package. I believe that the stores really had some good sales on meat this last week. I saw a meatloaf recipe in the meat thread that sounded really good - the one that has the veggies rolled inside and the cheese on top. I was thinking about making that today also. Cheesecake has been history for the few days - I might make another one to last the rest of this week.
Yesterday, I made what is called "Parma Rosa" using Dreamfields Penne Regate. It was soooo good! I use to make it all the time with "the other" kind of ingredients. DH and I thought it was just as good with the lc version. It is a little high in carbs - put with ate it with just a hamburger patty and we certainly were satisfied.
Today, is a day for reflection and preparation for the new week ahead.
I hope that all of you are staying the course and obtaining your goals!!!
Have a good one!

Hello, all. I goofed off yesterday and there is no way I can get the house completely in order today. Oh, well. The Geezer promised to help me today if I went with him yesterday, but he's nowhere to be seen. :peeved:  He's retired, so I'll leave him something to "help" with for tomorrow. :D
I like to keep Sunday as a restful family day, but there are dust bunnies starting to show signs of life in the corners :jawDrop: so I will at least run the vacuum cleaner.
Off to start a pot of chili. I've seen exactly thirty seconds of sunshine today and it's cold and damp. Chili sounds perfect!

Mal-your grocery store and mine sound a lot alike although I know that can't be. They had Boston butt on sale for 0.97/lb this week so I found the smallest one I could and got it. Now I have to figure out what to do with it. It's still 6 lbs. Isn't that what they make pork barbecue out of? Hopefully I can either find something to make that freezes well or I'll have to invite A LOT of people over to help me eat it. The pork is in the freezer for the time being but I'm open to suggestions. It also appears chicken wings are going to be a regular part of my diet now. I bought some more today and put them in the freezer. I've decided I prefer them deep fried to baked and of course that's not a problem here in MS. If it ain't fried, it ain't food.

Boy do I wish my meat was on sale like that this week. I got a few cents off a pound on a sirloin tip roast and a chuck roast. But not many great deals. I overspent my grocery budget and overspent my wine budget. I'll be broke all week now.
My kids are crazy today. Too many days off of school. They go back tomorrow from their Spring Break. Hopefully that will take the ornery out of them.

i was a bit worried about going to church this morning, it lasts from ten til 3pm and I felt I would need a snack in there somewhere. so last night I cooked up some turkey sausages. i cut 2 of them up in bite sized pieces and put in a baggie which i took to church with me along with my water. it worked out great, when I was hungry I went downstairs for a break and ate my sausage.
i am still sticking to plan. I am so happy. in my apt bldg we have a pop machine, isnt that just awful? lol. one evening I decided i was GOING to have a coke no matter what. so I got my change out, and began to walk down the hall towards the machine, and then I said to myself, What are you DOING? Go back in your apt and eat some chicken and drink some water!
it worked, my inner self told me to behave or else!
for lunch after church I had a kind of stew. it was hamburger, tomato, green beans thrown together, it wasnt too bad either.
i cant get dreamfields pasta here. no one has heard of it. there arent very many low carb food items, but i have found a low carb bread which is quite good.
anyway i hope you all are having a great day!

My dinner was as good as I had hoped. And I even have at least 1 more meal out of it. Didn't blow the carb budget today either so all in all, not a bad day. Plenty of left over wings for work lunches.
Lucille, I have to laugh at the thought of you snacking on sausages during church.

Hi all,
we had a very busy day today. Went to IKEA and did some furniture shopping and also assembled everything. My food was clean and tasty and I am soooo happy to report that I am now down 23 pounds and it feels great. My food can be viewed in my open fitday journal. We also had opening day for baseball and it was miserably cold and windy but still fun and Elias's team even won. From here on out our weekdays will be even busier with baseball 3 times a week. My food for tomorrow is packed and planned and it should be ok. I am so happy to have found this food plan and panel. Thanks and happy protein to all!
