They are here! The cravings and it's day 2! Ive had so much water water water I can't drink anymore. Just had some salami and cheese.
Im not physically hungry but I'm having cravings!! Im gonna go get more water

Im printing off recipes from a low carb site I found, it's keeping me occupied but thinking of all the yummy food I can make!

You can do it! :nod: It gets easier, really. The first three days were the worst for me (not just the third, as for some people). Hang in there!

If the carb cravings continue (separate from hunger), L-Glutamine supplementation might be very helpful. Have read many reports where it helped reduce/eliminate this type of craving.

I have found that if I go and brush my teeth the cravings go away. Weird, I know, but I even brought a toothbrush to work. It works for me!!

Absolutely. A heaping Tbs of powdered l-glutamine mixed into 2 Tbs of cream with a sprinkle of stevia. Instant craving killer.
I also find that eating fatty protein gets me through cravings. My personal favorites:
Eggs and sharp cheddar cheese cooked in olive oil or ghee
Pastene light tuna packed in olive oil
A half an avocado stuffed with chicken (or egg, shrimp, or tuna) salad
Cobb salad (topped with bacon, blue cheese, avocado)
A couple spoonfuls of full-fat cottage cheese
Deli rollups with cheese, wrapped around roasted peppers or pickle slices

I did it! I got thru 2 days and today, day 3 I'm feeling much more calm and so far no cravings. I had a protien shake for breakfast. I know I can do this this time! Im not weighing myself till next Friday, because I don't want to be disappointed. Right now, Im just eating this way because it makes me feel so good. I would literally get the shakes after binging on sugar and heart palps. Ive been so calm these 2 days, I can't believe how good it feels! I'll check in again later, we are going to Costco to get some stuff for Easter, Im making a ham, potatoes (not for me) and lots of vegies and low carb dips, and I make George Stella's cheesecake yesturday and I had some last night and it totally killed any cravings! Just a small piece too, and it tasted awesome!
You guys are great, thanks so much for the support, I KNOW I can do this!

I take chromium, which helps control blood sugar. I can always tell when I miss a few days of not taking it. The cravings start getting unbearable and roar like a lion in my head until I eat what I am craving for. When I take the chromium, even if I still get cravings, I can quit them and not follow through with eating bad stuff.

Okay so it's 2PM, and I just had lunch! I was busy doing errands all morning, and I felt hungry at times, but not that ravenous, get outta my way im heading for the chips type of hungry. It was different. I felt it, but it was okay, no biggie! So im shopping for Easter goodies and I noticed that Im HAPPY! My step feels lighter and I just feel so GOOD! Normally Im crabby all the time, ask my hubby he knows, but today im full of energy and happy! So far I had a protien shake in AM, and now just had 1 and one half buger with lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese.
For dinner im planning baked salmom, cauliflower and a huge salad with greek cheese!
This is great, I hope the hard part is over
