Lots of things challenge us, and lots of things can get in the way of our goals...but we ALL have some things that we consistently do the best.

As April starts to wrap up and the days start to warm up, let's get prepared for new challenges and new seasons by focusing on our strengths. You may do many things well, but what are the three recommendations from Protein Power or Protein Power Lifeplan which you follow most closely?

As always, if you need to expand on your answer or choose "Other," just add a reply to the thread containing this poll...

Have fun finding out how taking positive steps has created strength(s) in YOU!

Also equally important to me is getting my fiber in as well. Truly, I am doing all the things listed in the survey, but there are probably 6 or 7 of them that I consider absolutely crucial to meet.

A great point, Ali! My short description of this nutritional program is usually: adequate protein, adequate fiber, controlled carbs, necessary supplements, plenty of water, enough sunlight, and exercise!

All of them are so important, but have to comment that I am so pleased that overwhelming people are responding to adequate protein so strongly. This is not just low carb it is putting in the fuel in our bodies and I am tickled pink to see such a strong outcome! We rock folks!

Well, there were 7 or 8 I try to do every day plus a few more so I just voted for "other" ;).

And interesting...although I didn't put in anything specific for 'fiber,' apparently nobody tries to get an assortment of veggies and plan-friendly fruits every day...hmmm. That's one of the *easiest* ways to get in daily fiber from natural sources, not to mention boosting vitamins and minerals!

But but but... you said to just choose three!!! That would have been my 4th, and I do get my fiber from an assortment of veggies, flax seed meal and my LC tortilla! With those three types of offerings, I have no difficulty in easily hitting 30 to 35g. I aim for 25, but often hit higher. I don't eat that much fruit, but LOVE berries, especially raspberries - and they're the BEST carb/fiber ratio fruit, IMO. They're just too darn expensive most of the time!

I'm still computerless at home and at the office now, but when I can I do want to go back and list the things in the order of importance I believe for me. In the meantime, have to get to work!!!

I also do more than three, but, as requested, picked the ones I do "most."

And some options were just worded slightly differently from the way I approach them. For instance, I didn't pick the exercise one because I aim for five days a week, not every day as in the question. And on the fruit and veggie question, I try to get a variety over time, but not necessarily within one day.

So I think you can read something into what people have chosen, but can't necessarily say much about the ones they haven't.

i didn't choose the fruits and veggies answer either--it would have been next-- because it's not something I have to pay attention to to get right--it just seems to take care of itself. I DO have to pay attention to Ecc, protein amounts and reading lables to make sure I'm keeping unacceptalbe ingredients out of my food supply so thats why I chose those 3 for my answers.

LOL...maybe I should have made this a five choice poll? Well, yours truly accidentally hit the POST button after only checking one option, so I didn't even get all of my three votes! ;) I'd have picked unhealthy additives and fruits and veggies as my choices #2 and #3, but I'm afraid only 'adequate protein' made it to the results. Technology is a harsh mistress. ;)

Since I'm just getting started with PP, I couldn't check some of the items because I don't know whether I am doing them or not. I'm still trying to get it all sorted out. i think they are all important to the overall picture of health I envision myself being...

Today was my first day of "following" the eating plan, and I can see I need to do a lot more planning and counting if I'm going to get any variety in my diet. It sounds easier than it is, though I am sure it will become second-nature eventually. I guess it's like any "new job" - overwhelming at first, then it becomes easier as you learn more -- and eventually you wonder why you were ever overwhelmed. I'm looking forward to that day. I do know that I need this program to regain my good health...

Thank you all for your encouragement!
Hugs, Dotte
