"You're richer than 75% of this world."
Meditations for Women

I found this quote on April 15th interestingly enough, and have been thinking about all the different ways it applies to us as PPers.

Some months, heck some days are pocket books don't stretch as far as we would like, but we are very rich not only in money but also and most importantly in many things.

Gabe told me the story of when he was doing research in Ghana about a lovely young women and her husband he befirended. They were so kind to him and would take him places. He knew by their custom that giving them money was not appropriate, so he thought about what he could do to give them something small. The couple would often share their meger meals with him, consisting of plantans, grains, broths but very little protein. So Gabe brought to them eggs, which apparently are like gold there, and you all know Gabe, ;) he explained how important eating protein was when she could afford it.

Somedays it is a bit more expensive to buy meat perhaps not in plastic or that has been saturated in preservatives, but it is also important to find a way, and remember that we really are a privileged lot here, doing what we can to do the best for our bodies, seems like the least we should be doing.

Well off too coffee with friends, a child's art show this morning and a dear friends daughters wedding this evening. My Chicago son and girlfriend are home, so definitely I am feeling very very rich today.

How do you feel rich?

Have a good one!

6 grandkids rich.I am very rich, very blessed.
Most days I don't feel rich. I worry about the state of our nation and the trend toward a global market. I wonder if America will keep up. We are so spoiled in our lives with having so much. We take it for granted. Gas prices have been high in Canada for a long time. Now other nations are competing with us for resources. We need to get ready for change and buckle down and get busy. We are creative and free. That is wonderful. But we put ourselves in cages and limit our own thinking. We have everything and the sky is the limit. We only need to believe in ourselves.
