It's Monday morning, 8:30, and I'm already feeling very behind.
I had such a busy weekend that I didn't get things done that I usually do, so now Monday is here, I'm at work, and I can't stop thinking about all the things I have to do at home! :jawDrop::(.

But, there's nothing I can do about it for the next 8 hrs, so here I am.
My food is planned and packed, and I have plenty to do, so the day should fly...

7am 2eggs, 3oz taco meat, 1tbsp s.cream, 1oz cheese, 1.4 grapefruit, 1/2c Hoods
11am lc goulash, 1.5c cauliflower
2:30pm 6oz yogurt, 30 almonds
workout
6pm 5oz chicken breast, wild rice/mushroom, 3oz celery

Ecc: 43

Talking to yourself seems fitting for a manic Monday ;).

I'm here, but not very manic :). Just wondering what I can do to dress up some leftover chicken for tea. Mushrooms and white sauce... or curry... or mushrooms and tomato... Not feeling very decisive today .

Were you getting paranoid Ammy? No, you are not alone, repeat...not alone !!

I don't know where everyone is, but here in the Ozarks we are sleeted and iced in and every little bit we here thunder rolling. Very weird.

We were supposed to take our taxes to our guy today at noon, but the best laid plans of mice and men.... Now we will go in two weeks. ugh. and for the first time I had them all ready really really early!!

Guess all exercises will be of the indoor type today. I heard on the tv that you folks in Minnesota are having extremely cold temps, but I see you are able to get to work and everything. We are just pansies here, compared to you all.

Have taken my meds and supps and that is about it, so will go do something and get back here in a bit. Just wanted to let you know you aren't cut off from the rest of the world.:D:D

Whew..I was getting paranoid :jawDrop::paranoid::tongue:!!

Yes, it's -6 right now, but sunny.
That's the most deceiving thing about our weather. You see the beautiful sunshine and you go outside and the cold hits you in the face like a BRICK!

Mitra....curry sounds good, but I think of curry as a bit spicy, and anything to help us warm up today would be great .

I'm planning on chili tonight. Dh has been hinting about it and I am thinking this is the perfect time for a big bowl of it.

Still thunderbooming around here. So unreal to hear it at this time. At least the sleet has stopped. Our driveway is all white and shiny.

Keep warm Ammy !! Brrrr

Have you decided yet Mitra??

Well, I'm here, equally paranoid because I've got so much to do in prep for a meeting on Thursday and I hope I don't forget any of the important stuff.

We are above zero today, but still being walloped by lake-effect snow. The rest of the state has sunshine, I understand. Roads were snow-covered yet, but I got to work without incident. I have my gym bag with me so I can stop on the way home.

Breakfast was a protein shake and lunch was beef & broccoli from a local Chinese restaurant. I am sure I consumed too many carbs; I ate the rangoons simply because they were "there". It was a compulsive act to fit in with my anxious mood today. Dinner will be brats and stir-fry vegetables cooked up into a delicious melange.

Amy, remember: just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. :paranoid:

;)

It's 12* here today, heading for a balmy 16. ooooOOOOoooo. Glad I can stay in! The sun is shining and the sky is blue. It looks lovely. But that brick Amy mentioned is just waiting to smack me when I go get the mail. (Maybe I'll send my son?)

So, I've been sitting here on my butt planning a planner for 2008. I've killed enough time that I could've gone to the store and bought one...but at least I'm getting organized.

Breakfast: 2 egg omelette with ham and cheddar; 1 sq. dark chocolate
Snack: .5oz dry roasted peanuts
Lunch: veggie salad with ham, turkey, and mozzarella; wasa w/butter
Dinner? Uncertain. I'll probably roast a chicken.

Have a good one. Stay warm! :)

Good afternoon,

It started off cold here this morning, but the weather is nice now, around 77 and the sun is out. I need to get outside and clean my pond which is being overrun with algae. I showed one of our rentals this morning and did all my errands. I need to get started on laundry and vacuuming.

Breakfast - I made 2 eggs w/ about 2T sausage and 4 pieces of bacon, but I ate about 1 egg and 1 piece of bacon. I nibbled on the bacon when I got back home (hopefully I was the only one that took nibbles and the cats didn't help themselves and just save me some!)

Lunch - I found Carb style bread w/ 5 g per slice and had PB& sfJ on it. It was like heaven! I love PB&J w/ a big glass of milk, but I drank water instead.

The dance competition was exciting and just as I thought, they only had concession food. Glad I brought my protein bar. Plus I didn't want to pay $3.00 for a hot dog, it was bad enough the water cost that much.

I am up about a pound. I didn't over indulge on carbs, but I did on alcohol. I have been limiting myself to two drinks per night, but Sat. and Sun., I added more and had a beer or two also.

I start my new weight resistance routine this week. Four days now instead of three, woopee!

Dinner tonight is corned beef and cabbage.

I don't even want to think about taxes. That will make me drink even more.

Too manic for me to post today (at least until I had a few minutes after school). I don't even want to think about the work piled up here. I must remember..one thing at a time, one thing at a time...

Thanks to all of you in the Midwest--Amy, Carol, Billie, etc., for sending your freezing temps here:) We're supposed to get snow tomorrow midday, but as usual, rising temps will change that to ice (just in time to slide home) and then to rain overnight. Should be a messy, messy day for school. Typically we end up with early dismissals--but that doesn't keep the teachers from having to deal with very nasty roads on the way home.

Thanks, Peachy, for the suggestion to use DaVinci syrup with yogurt. I hadn't thought of that at all. I tried the yogurt with blueberries and SF vanilla syrup--that's the ticket. It was very good.

Mitra, my yogurt says Fage Total on it. Is that the same as yours?

I'm a bit frustrated. The scale hasn't budged for the last two weeks. Patience, Ruth!

Well--it's back to work for me. Then I need to leave for my SAT class tonight.

Ruth, yes - Fage Total sounds like the Greek yoghurt I usually get.

Boy, the universe wasn't kidding when it had me type "manic" for today!!!
ARGH!!!

hey, has anyone tried the Western Bagels?? The Perfect 10 (https://westernbagel.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=41269) have 10ecc per bagel...my sister (Weight Watchers fanatic) said her grocery store just got them in, and they are low in "points", so I was looking them up and they do have a low carb bagel.
Their stores are in CA, but they can be ordered online. Before I order some, though, thought I see if anyone has tried them?

Bagel. Yum!! That would be the perfect thing to have when my family is eating donuts with grandpa on Saturday morning.

Today I was in meetings, so I didn't get a chance to chat. We stopped and had a burrito at El Gordo's for lunch. I only ate the inside. It was sooo yummy. I went over my carbs with the refried beans that were smeared inside the tortilla -- but it was probably about 2 or 3 tablespoons. Sour cream, avocado, cheese, steak, lettuce, tomato. Delish! I'm quite sure that the pound and a half I was down this morning will be back tomorrow. I'm not even changing my ticker.

Arctic cold here in Chicago. Yikes the wind. I sure would like to go somewhere warm and feel the sunshine on my face. I have that seasonal affective disorder and this time of year is just torture for me. My p-doc has me on some meds to help me out that lead to a little weight gain. But it's better than laying in bed eating chocolate.

Well, time for me to go make dinner. We're having pork chops tonight. I'm not even hungry. I'll just nibble.

Hi all !

I made eggs, bacon, and fruit this morning and could barely get it down. Some mornings I just feel like even looking at that food makes me queasy. I'll probably do a protein shake tomorrow for breakfast. I had roast chicken with cottage cheese and lc pears for lunch. I don't think I'll do dinner tonight - just a snack.

Man, it was cold here today. High about 13 with windchill below zero. We are suppose to get between 1-6 inches before Wed. afternoon. Hopefully, it will warm up a little. forecast said about 26.

I'm just holding on the scale. I hope to get under 160 some time this week. Hooray! It's nice to see the numbers roll by. I love to move my ticker!:exclamation:

Max must be having a great time with his dw - we haven't heard from him for almost a day and a half. It's been sort of quiet around this website.

I got dmil signed up today at the "Y". Next step is to get her on the machinces. I'll work on that in the next week or two.

Peachy, how is it going on quitting smoking? I hope you are doing good. You'll thank yourself for doing it later.:D

Carole, I hope you got to the gym tonight. We're keeping track!:slywink:

Amy - we're watching your progress!:jawDrop: Doin' Good!

Everyone have a great evening - see you tomorrow!

Sharon

I hope you all are keeping warm and behaving!

I'll check back on you tomorrow. I love to hear how you are doing.

You must have grown your own, Ruth. We still have ours! We skated to work today. The first thig I saw when I reached the highway was a pair of cars planted in the snow alongside the road, headlights shining and blinkers still going.

Carole, I hope you got to the gym tonight. We're keeping track!:slywink:
:D Yes I did! You can write it down!
