Happy Easter! Also, this would have been my dad's 78th birthday (he died at 64). He was a band director and trumpet player... this morning I got to direct a big piece in church with bells, brass, organ, choir and timpani. I liked the significance of doing that on my dad's birthday.

It was pretty cool. I was on a major adrenalin rush, I'm tellin' ya! The name of the piece is "Hark, Ten Thousand Harps and Voices."

Being a demo, it sounds a little cheesy. Still, it gives you an idea of the piece... definitely an uplifting barn burner. :)

Oh my GOSH! I just listened to it twice through, ignoring phone calls. It gave me goose bumps, Stevie. I'm sure it went over like gangbusters. Easter music is so cool anyway. This is a piece I don't believe I've ever heard before.

I can well imagine it's a rush to conduct. I get all geeked out just leading the string band! :eek:
