Hi Folks,

I'm still a newbie here so if I'm posting this in the wrong place, let me know. First the good news - I've been back on the plan for one full week and I weighed in this morning and have a 3 lb. loss. It feels great! I know that the scale only tells part of the story and much of it is water, but seeing those numbers go down feels really good! :)

However, I wasn't expecting to have to travel for work already but next Wednesday I go to Denver for three days. I don't have a problem with restaurants, but the biggest challenge for me is the airports and on the plane - especially if there are delays. I can bring low carb protein bars with me and a bag of nuts. Any other ideas?

I was really hoping not to have to deal with this for the first few weeks on the plan. Oh well.

String cheese
jerky, any kind
slim jims
cheese crisps (the kind that are all cheese; one brand is 'just the cheese')
bring small packs of different KINDS of nuts (pistachios, peanuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts)

The restaurants in the hotels where I have to stay on business typically offer buffet style breakfasts as part of the room rate. So if you're flying out, grab a couple hard-boiled eggs or some cottage cheese to go off the buffet, something that won't die if it's not refrigerated for a couple hours. You can snack safely on that while you're waiting to board the plane.

Good luck!

Good luck traveling. The airports and planes can be challenging.

I agree with the items Gaelen suggested.

I would only add, Atkins low carb bar, or South beach bar(alittle more carby, but worth it if traveling) or a canned low carb shake, Atkins taste the best to me, Slim Fast Low carb is next.

Best wishes, you can do it.
