I read in PPL that you should take a form of CoQ10 that is in oil, not powder. This is probably stupid, but does that just mean softgels rather than capsules or is there more to it?

Also, on one site a reviewer of a particular brand/dose said it made her sick & to start at a lower dosage (hers was 200 mg) and work up. I had planned to buy 100 mg but am now wondering if there's anything to that and maybe I should start at 50 mg for a month or so. Anyone else experience that?

Lastly, does anyone know anything as far as brands that they would recommend over others? I've gotten supplements on vitacost and their NSI products are usually cheaper but I'm not sure if the quality is the same as others. I did see what is sold on PP site but don't need that high of a dose.

Thanks for any info.

It's my understanding that the softgels are the fat soluable ones.

I first started the vitamin thing by hitting the local GNC and buying just the recommended ones from PPLP. The CoQ10 was 100 Mg I believe and I didn't have any problems with it. I always had mine with dinner.

I severely underestimated how much all these crazy vitamins would cost. I've just about finished all my first bottles and am now trying out the Eades' daily pack (http://www.proteinpower.com/product.php?id=14) which doesn't seem as expensive and offers a lot more than just the 4 recommended vitamins.

Depending how this goes will determine what I do when these run out.

Yes, choose the softgels not the powder-filled capsules (unless you are downing some other oily supplements at the same time).

My Co-Q bottle says to take it on an empty stomach, so I take it before bed with my Ca-Mg-D3-Zn (I take vitamins that say to take w/food at breakfast).

I always wait for sales & stock up on supplements then. I can't remember the last time I paid the non-sale price.

Thanks.
I ordered some gelcaps from vitacost.
It is expensive when you add up the cost of all of the supplements - that's why I've delayed with the coq10 over the years. Most of the other suppl. they recommend I'm already taking.
