My bone density test came back yesterday. My spine is super. But my Femur is losing bone. Sheesh..I already do wieght bearing excersize.It must be the RSD. I need to take calcium every day three times a day. Any suggestions on apsorbable calcium?

My doc recommended calcium cirtrate for me, Hawk.

From what I've read, taking calcium by itself may just give you expensive urine. It binds to bones better if you also have enough magnesium & phosphorus in your system. Calcium + magnesium in 2:1 ratios and in forms ending with "ate" are the best.

That's the kind I picked up today. Calcium magnesium . Calcium carbonate.

Also, Vitamin D is important for building bone density. Cod liver Oil and sunshine!

And taking Vitamin D3 with your calcuim increases calcium absorption by as much as 30 to 80 percent. So make sure you take this too.
