"Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday."

John Wayne

I thought this would be a great thought for a Monday--just in case the weekend caught you up.

What did I learn from yesterday? I learned the sunny skies can effect very positively moods and being outside is such a great gift after a dreary winter. I learned that being creative can be so fun. We grilled breakfast out yesterday--never would have thought of pancakes on a weber grill but it was just delicious. I think I learned that my body is in better physical shape than it used to be, because although I hurt this morning if a few places from raking and painting, I also had alot of energy to spare. I also learned that not going to the gym yesterday and still very committed to meeting my 180 minutes in the gym goal, I will have a lot of work to do this week.

What did you learn from your weekend--positive or negative reasons why you learned it are just fine!;)

Deep breath for Monday everyone, the weekend is over let's do it this week!

Good morning, Billie! I didn't know The Duke was a philosopher.

I learned that nothing has been invented yet that can get rid of ants in a kitchen permanently. I learned more about my Mac computer (by reading a book) and I think we can be friends now. I learned that my two-year-old grandson is now comfortable enough at my house to voluntarily climb on my lap for a hug and a smooch. Wow!

Tarro .A drop where the ants are will kill the whole nest. THey pick it up and carry it back to the nest. Do not put it around pets or kids though or at least make sure they can't get to where you put it.
Also, I learned this weekend that faces have blue and green and purple shadows in them and that the whites of your eyes look more realistic and three dimensional when they are shaded with a see through glaze of blue. Even with a fever I learned so much in my portrait class. The learning was much more valuable to me than the money it cost to take the class.

Hey Billie, I learned that same thing as you. My body is in much better shape than I thought it was. I danced for 3 hours Friday night, and expected to be sore the next couple days but I'm not! Even my bad ankle wasn't sore, and that really surprised me.

I also re-learned that when people ask for advice, they may not be willing to listen to what you have to tell them. I need to relearn how to take a step back when someone you care about refuses to follow good advice even when the refusal can lead to ruining their health. I learned this with my parents a few years ago, but I'm now facing a similar situation with my in-laws...

It's true the old Tarro had arsenic in it and killed them overnight. The new Tarro is wimpy and takes two weeks. I've finally used up all the old stuff I've had for thirty years. Frustrating! Ant traps take two weeks too, and I swear new batches of ants come out weekly ever since we had that heavy rain!

I learned that I really don't like it when my visits to the honey tree extend more than one meal. When I don't eat as well as usual and don't exercise as much as usual I start to feel sort of stodgy and out of focus. In order to see my MIL as well as my family, and with meals on the road we ended up eating out a lot. My mother bought me a birthday cake - because I used to like bought cakes better than homemade ones when I was six , even though she knows that I actually don't like cake much at all . Anyway, the advantage of celebrating at their house is that we left all the leftovers with them :D.

After eating more than usual, with more carbs than usual, from Friday through to Monday, I'm not so much needing to recommit, as just wanting to get back to eating properly. So I learned that I really do see PP as my normal way to eat now.

I'm looking forward to getting back to the way I feel when I eat well.
