this is a very small, beginners success event - but I wanted to share in case it helps someone else.

I started PPLP on 1/29/2006- and have lost about 18# (of >100 to lose) since then. Though my clothes were fitting differently and I was encouraged by the steady loss, I was more than a little disappointed in the raw number.

Last night, I took my measurements again. Wow! I'm down 1" (2.6cm) in the bicep, 1.8"(4.5cm) at the navel, and 3.2" (8 cm) at 3" below the navel (belly, "pooch" - you ladies know where I mean).

I'm encouraged. I guess this is one of those small goals/progress measurements that keeps us on plan! Hope it encourages you all to measure and not just weigh.

Seeing how hard it is to force yourself into the next size down in jeans is also a good indicator.

Lisa those are amazing changes, no small ones! WOW!

The measurements really are key and people tend to only go by the scale. But measurements, clothes fitting differently, feeling more energetic...those are great benefits.

This program absolutely does work, not only on the scale but also in the health department. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!

step by step -- I always have to remember it took me several years to gain the weight -- it doesn't just dissappear overnight! Chin up and move forward. :)
